It was a pleasnt dining experience at the Punjabi restaurant located at the heart of Madurai, near the Meenakshi Temple! The fact that it is a pure vegetarian restaurant serving some authentic Punjabi cuisine might appeal to a lot of customers. The ambiance was unique and fascinating as the restaurant was situated inside an old building with a narrow passage. It transported me back to yesteryears, adding a charming touch to the overall dining experience.

The menu offered a delightful range of pocket-friendly dishes with good flavors. The tandoori aloo, though a bit bland to my liking, was a surprise package. Each bite of the paneer masala with the tandoori roti was a burst of flavors that left me wanting more. The staff was extremely polite and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Well known place ,, providing ,, authentic North Indian food … But here ,, we should be prepared for long waits and crowd ..

What we had .. how was it ..

1. Panneer tikka one plate .. it was outstanding ..what else we can say .. it was priced at ₹170 ..

2. Gopi 65 one plate costed ₹135 plus taxes … it was crispy as well as juicy …

Main dish we ordered .

3. Tawa butter roti 2 … One tawa butter roti costs ₹50 ..

4. Lacha parotta was ultimate .. one piece cost ₹55 …

5. Tandoori Roti was genuine .. ₹20 per piece ..

6. We had main dish called Panneer Taka Tak .. it was mildly spicy … it was indeed nice …

7. We finished the show with two sweet lassis . .. we could find cherry fruit and tutty fruity pieces … one lassi cost ₹50 .. it was not thick and classical lassi … it was above average ..

Overall we enjoyed the dinner .. it was tummy full ….

This so-called restaurant is an absolute nightmare. The waiters should take a crash course in manners, the food was an insult to my taste buds, and the family-friendly claim is a blatant lie. The stench inside could rival a garbage dump, and the tables were sticky with who-knows-what. As if that wasn't bad enough, the leaky roof added a lovely touch of smelly water to our dining experience.

When we dared to complain, the staff circled like vultures, threatening violence and showing zero remorse for the disaster they called a meal. To top it off, they snatched my phone, deleted crucial evidence, and left me with just a snippet of their appalling behavior. Do yourself a favor and spare your family from this disgraceful excuse for a restaurant. I wish I could rate it lower...
