So finally I got to taste the real original Madurai’s trade mark Hanifas Famous Jigarthanda.. at Vilakkuthoon. As name suggested it cools your jigar.

Refreshing( apparently healthy) and filling. I had it for lunch 🤣🤣🤣. I tried the special Jigarthanda.

They have a hall where you can buy the drink and have it.

No words to explain the tastes .. so just go and enjoy it in Madurai.

PS- I hear this is the original one where it’s made fresh revert day whilst the franchise outlets all over keep it for 2-3 days so freshness...

Its a drink worth trying. The drink uses Gond Katira which according to Ayurveda is really healthy and has a cooling effect on your stomach. We tasted mini Jigar thanda and their special Jigarthanda.
