Exploring the Culinary Delights of Hotel Sree Sabarees in Madurai Madurai, a city steeped in history and culture, is also home to a culinary gem known as Hotel Sree Sabarees. This establishment has become a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike, seeking the authentic flavors of South Indian cuisine. With a Google review summary rating of 4.2 and similar praise on Justdial, it's clear that Sree Sabarees has made a significant impact on the city's dining scene. The restaurant's menu boasts a variety of traditional dishes that cater to the breakfast crowd, with items such as ghee-laden dosas, fluffy idlis, and crispy vadas. The pure and authentic taste of these offerings has garnered positive feedback from patrons, with many highlighting the breakfast as a must-have experience when visiting Madurai. Dinner at Sree Sabarees is equally popular, featuring a pure vegetarian menu that resonates with the city's cultural ethos. Despite the restaurant's popularity leading to wait times for seating, customers seem more than willing to endure the wait for a chance to savor dishes like the stone dosa and ghee roast dosa. The ambiance of Sree Sabarees adds to the dining experience, with an interior that reflects the traditional South Indian aesthetic. The restaurant's commitment to maintaining a pure vegetarian menu has not gone unnoticed, as it aligns with the dietary preferences of many locals and visitors. Customer service at Sree Sabarees is a topic of discussion among reviewers. While some have faced delays, the overall sentiment remains positive, with the quality of food often overshadowing any service hiccups. For those planning a visit to Madurai, Hotel Sree Sabarees on Kamarajar Salai is a culinary destination not to be missed. It's a place where the rich flavors of South India are served with a side of cultural authenticity, making it a memorable part of any trip to this historic city. Whether you're starting your day with a traditional breakfast or ending it with a vegetarian feast, Sree Sabarees promises an experience that's as delightful as it is delicious.

As we drove towards reach Madurai just in time for lunch at our favourite Sree Sabarees, finding a parking nearby was a challenge. Thanks to a paid parking space in the extended road to where the restaurant was located, opposite the famed Prem Nivas hotel, and it was huge, spacious and very affordable too. As we made a quick walk to our lunch spot, that was getting crowded as we waited for a shared table and the meal costed us ₹120 pp inclusive of taxes. A proper Tamil Nadu banana leaf meal, that was fresh, tasty and nourishing. The banana stem Poriyal with a keerai kootu, a standard, and a tangy tomato thokku, were devoured with mounds of rice and copious amount of spicy and tangy sambar, with a appalam. This is a limited Thali, so the rice is limited to a plate, while everything else was unlimited. It was an authentic meal that we throughly enjoyed, especially both the Kara Kozambu & Moor Kozambu that followed the sambar. Service was ok, as it was a busy lunch time as we exited with a happy and full tummy to retire back in the hotel for a quick nap.

It's very popular pure vegetarian restaurant. I have visited it on several occasions it's always full. You have to wait a while to find a seat to eat. I have seen in all occasions people are standing near a seat and waiting and in meanwhile the other fellow finishing there food. Its near railway station and near meenakshi amman temple so may be it's crowded because of that. Apart from all this Food is very tasty and service is also quick. Once you get seat service is fast. That's amazing about this place. Toilet is also available not very good but for emergency ok. this branch is not a very cosy place to go with family and friends but i would say if literally you are hungry and you are nearby this shop may be going to temple or railway station , just come here you will have full satisfaction. I have tried here: Tea-4/5 It was very strong. Stone dosai-4/5. a bit different taste and taxture. Ghee roast dosai-5/5- Superb-One is enough for a light meal. Ghee Pongal-5/5-superb

The quality and the taste of the food has come down. Earlier it was too good . But now the quality of the food is very poor. The price of one parcel meal is 150/- The items We get in this is one tasteless keerai kootu every day, one vegetable poriyal ( mostly cabbage , potato or dry tasteless valakai) and one vegetable in dhal. Who would like this to buy it with our hard earned money?. With this we will get one nearly 100 ml sambar pack , rasam , Mooru and Puli thokku . They call this Puli thokku as vatha kolambu. Very disappointing. Definitely we cant take friends from other places to taste our Tamil Nadu style meal especially vatha kolambu. Apart from this very little white rice.( Earlier the quantity was more) Now just the price is too much for this food. Thankfully payasam alone is good. Till last year the taste of tomato rice in Sabareesh was awesome. I still remember that everyone in my class ordered for tomato rice. But last week it was so bad. The price has also gone from 49 to 85/- for one parcel of tomato rice. Ordered for one veg fried rice but it was mixed with rice and noodles. The quality of food can never be compromised and it should not be even after paying a high price. Very sad to point out all these after paying money .

I remember once we ordered all the items available for dinner from Sabareesh for my friends from Bangalore two years ago. But now the quality is not up to the mark. When you raise the price of food, make surethe quality is...
