I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sai Maya Restaurant in Shirdi, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by the warm and polite staff who made me feel right at home. Their hospitality truly stood out throughout my visit.
One of the things that sets Sai Maya apart is that it's a vegetarian restaurant, and being a vegetarian myself, I was excited to explore their menu. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The variety of Maharashtrian dishes they offer is impressive, and each dish I tried was a culinary delight.
The staff at Sai Maya went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. They were attentive and eager to assist with any questions I had about the menu. I appreciated their recommendations, which led me to some of the most delicious dishes I've ever had.
One of my favorites was the Bengan Masala ( Black Gravy). The rich and flavorful gravy combined with the Bajra Bhakri was a perfect combination. The flavors danced on my palate, and I couldn't get enough of it.
If you're a fan of sweets, don't miss their Puran Poli and Shrikhand. These traditional Maharashtrian desserts were simply heavenly. They had the right balance of sweetness and a hint of cardamom that left me craving for more.
Apart from the amazing food, the ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. It has a serene and peaceful atmosphere, which is perfect for a relaxed meal. Whether you're dining with family or friends, Sai Maya provides a cozy setting to enjoy your food and conversations.
During my visit, I also had the opportunity to interact with the restaurant's staff, and their friendliness and willingness to assist with anything I needed left a lasting impression. They were always ready to provide information about the dishes and even accommodate special requests.
In conclusion, my experience at Sai Maya Restaurant in Shirdi was outstanding. The polite and attentive staff, the mouthwatering Maharashtrian dishes, and the tranquil atmosphere made it a memorable visit. I would highly recommend Sai Maya to anyone visiting Shirdi, especially if you appreciate delicious vegetarian cuisine. This restaurant exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another delightful...

In the heart of Shirdi, a town resonating with spiritual vibes, lies Sai Naivedyam Restaurant, a culinary destination for devotees and tourists alike. Nestled near the renowned Shirdi Temple, this eatery stands out in a bustling area brimming with shops offering garments, souvenirs, and medicinal products. Despite the abundance of dining options in the vicinity, Sai Naivedyam has carved out a niche for itself.
As you approach the restaurant, its proximity to the temple offers a sense of convenience and spiritual continuity. However, it's crucial to note that the restaurant, while expansive, does not offer wheelchair assistance, which might be a consideration for some visitors.
The menu at Sai Naivedyam is a delightful mosaic of flavors, presenting a plethora of choices ranging from North Indian to South Indian and even Chinese cuisines. This diverse selection caters to the varied palates of its clientele. However, it's essential to set your expectations right. While the food is abundant and provides a decent meal, the quality and taste might not align with the allure of its online presence. It's a classic case of appearances being deceiving.
Service and ambiance at Sai Naivedyam are fair, aligning with the overall theme of an average experience. A notable downside is the lack of in-house restroom facilities, with the nearby paid option being less than ideal due to maintenance issues.
For those expecting a burst of flavor and a top-notch dining experience as depicted in photographs, Sai Naivedyam might fall short. The restaurant also does not provide complimentary water, a small but noticeable omission in hospitality. Instead, guests can purchase bottled water.
Parking, a crucial aspect for many, is available nearby but is chargeable.
Sai Naivedyam Restaurant is a mixed bag. It's a convenient stop for those visiting the Shirdi Temple, offering a wide range of food choices. However, the average food quality, paid amenities, and lack of certain facilities like wheelchair assistance and in-house toilets place it in the realm of an ordinary dining experience. It's a place that serves its purpose but doesn't transcend...
Read moreDon’t get confused by some of the Google reviews saying this hotel is “opposite the Baba temple.” In reality, Sun-N-Sand is less than 2 km from the temple, and they provide excellent shuttle service with professional drivers using electric cars. That makes darshan visits very convenient.
The moment I entered the hotel, I got a positive vibe—they even play Sai Baba live on TV. The front desk staff, especially Kamini (and another gentleman whose name I forgot), were outstanding. There was a small miscommunication on the bill, but Kamini handled it very professionally, heard my concerns, and supported me throughout my stay. The property has two buildings—old and new. I stayed in the new one. Some floors are fully renovated, while others are still in progress. I booked interconnecting rooms for my parents and myself—spacious, with modern restrooms. One room had a garden view, and the other overlooked the water park, both really nice.
They provide plenty of water bottles in the room, which is thoughtful. I checked in late and used the room service—only vegetarian options are available, but the paneer and jeera rice I ordered were very good. The hotel has a pool, a large garden, and they are working on a gym (with showers and lockers already in place). A couple of things could be improved: the AC wasn’t cooling as expected, and the ceiling fan didn’t circulate air well (maybe upgrading to Atomberg fans would help). Also, there’s a small light near the entrance that stays on with no option to switch off—it’s convenient at night, but might bother light sleepers.
Overall, I loved the experience. The place gave me an almost “USA-style” hotel feel in terms of service and ambiance. They also offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. Definitely one of the best places to stay...
