Spring Onion Wakad — Restaurant in Maharashtra

I have been to Deccan and Baner branches of Spring Onion. And this place has never disappointed us and set a benchmark of taste and quality it has maintained. Taste has always been wow. So, while visiting wakad branch for the first time, we had already set that level of taste in our mind. We ordered dumpling soup and steamed momos which matched that level. Our next order was chilli basil paneer and Nariman point noodles, which was good but could have been better as per our previously set standards. Got to know from the staff that chef has been changed recently. For starters, ceramic plates were given, but for main course, they provided melamine plates which we were not used to before. The only reason to go to this place is the sheer quality of food. But the service was terrible to say the least. The person serving us was so sad and unhelpful that literally me and my wife cleaned our table and carried all the dishes to the counter after we had our dinner. In the very first place he made us sit in somebody else's restaurant which was a few shops away as the Spring Onion was full. He took the order there itself and after some time he asked us to shift to Spring Onion again mentioning the fact that it would be easier for him to serve the food there. Later neither did he provide us with the sauces nor with water. Every single time me or my wife had to walk all the way crossing these 5-6 shops for a glass of water or to ask for the sauces. Gourmet Chinese food place difficult to find in this area. Does not feel oily or too spicy. High quality ingredients, decent quantity and very good taste when u understand what u order.
