Beware of Misleading Food Practices at Thorat Misal, Wakad Branch!

Yesterday at 4:30 PM, I visited Thorat Misal’s Wakad branch, expecting to enjoy fresh Pav Bhaji, as they advertise a variety of bhajis served on a barbecue. However, when we started eating, it was clear that the food wasn’t freshly prepared. Upon questioning the staff, we were shocked to learn that the bhaji is actually cooked outside the outlet in the morning and then reheated and served throughout the day—while still being marketed as “fresh.”

This is deceptive and unacceptable. Customers have the right to know what they are consuming. If the food is from a cloud kitchen and not freshly prepared, this should be clearly communicated—either by the staff or through proper signage at the outlet. Misleading people about food freshness is not just unethical but also a serious health concern.

To make matters worse, the staff, who were Bengali and didn’t understand Marathi, kept insisting that morning-prepared food is still “fresh.” This raises a major question: How can a restaurant justify serving reheated food as fresh throughout the day?

Consumers deserve transparency, honesty, and fresh, hygienic food—not misleading claims. Have you had a similar experience? Let’s raise awareness and demand better standards!

Ambiance - its a good ambiance, with all facilities available, it’s a summar so they have added cooler fan to reduce heating, tables arrangements are quite good, enough space for around 30/40 person.. washrooms are clean and all hygiene has been maintained properly.

Kids play area is available, swings and trampolines.

Taste - well the taste was good, Misal Pav was fresh and served well. Taste was really good. there are wide range of options apart from misal, we have ordered French Fries, Noodles for kids and as per the instructions they have prepared which is appreciated. Manchurian was not up to the mark, they need to take some efforts on that.

Service- Service was really good and appreciated. All staff members were polite and serving us well. Need to work on some crowd management.

Costing - I feel it’s regular cost so it’s ok according to me.

Parking - enough parking space is available. For 2 and 4 wheelers. Need to maintain a proper discipline for parking.
