Michelle's Sweet Temptation Café & Bakery — Restaurant in Manipur

Nestled in the faraway cornerof India, Manipur is a land before time. It’s culture and traditions plays pivotal role in the lives of Manipuris. Geographical backwardness has cutoff Manipur from the rest of the world. In such a condition, Michele ‘s sweet temptation brings a fresh winds of change in our daily lives. The new joint in Thangmeiband is a class of its own. The smell of fresh bakes lemon tarts, cheesecakes, fresh lime and lemon cakes, cream buns etc have filled the morning and evenings with a new hope for some pastries loving crowd. In my own opinion, I have traveled across the globe and tried pastries from Dean and Deluca, Lady M, Adriana Jumbo, etc etc but our own Michele’s pastries ain’t any behind them. Bringing joy and class to this tiny state, MST is something to reckon for. My personal favourite are the tarts , lemon n lime cake and the Japanese cheesecake. 16.10.2022: Can’t post a second review, so editing this one. Had a leisurely Sunday ‘breakfast’ at the café. Its sumptuous, its filling, it looks great, its English to the core and it’s a treat of tastes – marmalade, baked beans, roasted tomatoes, mashed potatoes – there is much more, and definitely worth every penny. Well done Michelle, for adding another jewel to your bouquet of goodies.

That's a second time this year that we have landed at the cafe, on a Thursday (yesterday), completely forgetting about the weekly off and only focused on the goodies! After almost 20 years of association with Michelle/ MST, I should remember the Thursday rule. But I would say, because of these 2 decades of association, it is a pleasure to just relish the taste of each sweet and savoury, whenever one eats them. A dainty and delightfully done up café, MST has delicious fare on it's charts; which includes beverages, bakes and desserts. The coffee is really flavourful and you wish for it to last forever. Quite a Catch - 22 situation! Ordered an Apple-Cinnamon pie and it came along with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream......simply delicious, and, this is quite a forgotten culinary art! The Chicken-Spinach quiche was awesumly good, so took one for dinner too. The staff is charming, polite and ever smiling..... make you feel so welcome :-). The prices indicate that MST is cost - conscious, and while ensuring true value for money quality, it has catered for one and all.
