I'm a momo lover n I know the taste of momo vry well .... I came here with lots of expectations coz in Manipur we don't get to taste different kinds of momo everywhere it's always the plain one or the fried one ... When I first saw this place on insta I suggested all my frnds they tried it before me they all loved it so I had to try it . Bfore trying it I doubt it like wht if it's not good wht if it disappoints me ik ovrthinking at it's peak🤣🤣There was a male staff member He helped me choose the dish as most of them were new to me ..... As I said here we only get steam momo bt in this place i got to try evry momo.....I'm so glad they made this unique place in Manipur .Tq so much ....Even the staff members were so loving....😭🫶They were replying to all my stupid questions ...two of them were non- manipuri still they tried to interact it's always about gestures ..They helped me wear Buta, a traditional sikkimese attire ...It was my 1st time wearing it n I love it.... As a momo/dumpling enthusiast, I've tried almost all momo places in Imphal and while all are tasty in their own ways , Uncle Ugen's momos literally hit not only the taste buds and stomach but the soul! It's my favourite place for momo and dumplings now. I tried 4 different types of momo and their chicken thukpa. All momo types were absolutely fabulous, jhol, steamed and pan fried. Best was the steamed chicken momo and pan fried pork kothey momo. Must try. Chicken thukpa was warm and hearty but would be best with more seasoning. All in all it's one of the best places for authentic momo and the ambience is just beautiful and serene. Very hygienic too which I appreciate most. I especially loved the carved wooden tables🖤 Surely visiting...
