Enchanté - Tea Room — Restaurant in Meghalaya

I was searching for a cafe in Laitmukrah and found this quaint cafe behind a building. At first I saw only couple of tables and a small counter, however on further checking found a small room very beautifully and tastefully decorated which had a small cost couch, that's where we sat.

Service is very good as expected, ppl are in general very nice, polite and helpful. The lady who served me always had a smile in her face.

We had a Frittata, which was excellent, some local green tea - it was ok and thena local dessert which was fine too....

Overall I liked the noise less, cozy seating, comfort food kinda place.

I would definitely go back next time if I visit...

I was on a visit to Shillong for the Cherry Blossom Festival in November 2021, and was staying at Laitumkrah. I Google searched for nearby restaurants to have a quick breakfast and then go to Ward's Lake. I saw this restaurant nearby the place I was staying. With the help of Google Maps, I found the place after a bit of help from the locals.

It's a cute and cozy café. There are a couple of table and chairs for outdoor seating, too. I decided to sit inside. Since it was early morning, and so besides me there were two other customers. So so disappointed. We went there to celebrate a birthday and had even called to reserve tables for 8 people for breakfast. Got there at 10 and there was only one man cooking while another just sat at the counter. We asked for breakfast which we were told would take time - we got our breakfast at 11:45! Ultimately we had to cancel half the orders and share whatever was brought as the cook clearly did not plan his cooking out at all. It felt like he was preparing one plate of food at a time which was so not cool. Clearly this restaurant needs more chefs and better planning because this was by far the longest I’ve had to...
