Went to this quaint cottage style eccentric Cafe at Mira Road. My search for Ros Omelette in mumbai lead me to this beautiful place. It was a weekday, with no one at the restaurant when we reached, was bit vary, would they have fresh ingredients? Would all options on Menu be available? All my fears were laid to rest, once we started eating. Ordered the Crunchy Potato Wedges, an all time favourite of my daughter, served with sprinkling of parmesan cheese and periperi masala, it was crisp outside, soft n melting inside, really worth with chilled cold coffee. Then ofcourse Ros Omelette, spicy coconutty chicken gravy spread all over an Omelette, this one had a surprise, it was a cheese omelett!! Served with hot pao, it was really delectable!! The entire gravy was mopped up by my hubby with extra pav's we ordered. The gravy in Goa is more greenish gray and runny, here its brown and thick, but taste wise full marks!! Next was a recommendation by the owner itself....Beef Croquettes, crumb fried rolls, with melting in mouth filling, beef with a onion based masala served with a mayo cheesy dip. It is worth ordering, please do!! Next was Fried Chick, a Bagel Sandwich, a huge burger type with yummylicious sauce, cheese, jalapeno pepper and 2 fried chicken breast pieces!! It was seriously filling!!! Just a note, they charge you 20 bucks for doggy bag. But pack it really well. There is so much more, I want to still eat, Spaghetti Meatball, Tenderloin Steak, Chorizo Pao, Sorpotel....and lucious bakery stuff I saw online..just waiting to go back again. This eatery is run by a family, it has very few tables viz. a sitting of 10 max, with quirky stuff put across, a beautiful mirror on the wall, a lot of plants around and games like, cards, board games, Zenga to spend your time with. Very lovely owner and other family members, who made it a point to come and personally check, if we liked the food....
Read moreCafe Miranda, located in Mira road is truly an underrated cafe. I went there with my friends to celebrate my birthday. It looks quite small from outside; however, it’s beautiful from inside with plenty space. It has been operational since six years; however, sad to know that it is not talked about much.
At first, I was surprised that the interior wasn't pink like shown on Google. They must have renovated the place and now it has neutral and wooden accents that makes it cozy and pleasant. We found a corner, my friends didn't find the chair quite comfortable. The cafe has good music, clean interiors (love the kitchen/workspace door), and washroom.
We ordered a chicken bagel sandwich, mozzarella cheese balls to start off. The food took time to arrive, hence, I have rated the service a little less cause it was too slow. The bagel sandwich was well spiced; however, the bagel was alot harder and drier than it is supposed to be. We ordered paneer barbecue pizza which tasted more like chilly paneer pizza with no essence of smoky or barbecue paneer. The pizza base was not up to the mark either. We ordered hot chocolate, iced cold coffee and iced matcha latte. It would have be nice if they start adding marshmallows on top of the hot chocolate. I could taste a lot of strawberry milk instead of matcha, I'm no expert at matcha; however, I feel the matcha quantity could have been more than the milk, else it was a good drink.
Overall, I would rate my experience an 8/10. The staff played hbd song and wished me too (basic but so heart-warming hehehe). I loved the ambience, interiors and the humble staff. The cafe could be a talk of the town if they amp up their baking game and service. More or less, this is an ideal date or meet-up...
Read moreI stumbled upon this little gem of a café tucked away in one of the quieter lanes of Mira Road while looking for a peaceful spot to catch up on reading. From the outside, it looked like any other small café — modest signage, potted plants at the entrance — but once I walked in, it felt like I’d discovered something truly special.
The ambiance is warm and intimate, with wooden furniture, soft jazz in the background, and cozy corners perfect for solo visits or quiet conversations. What stood out immediately was how serene the place was, especially in a place like mira road that’s always buzzing.
I ordered the traditional English breakfast and a plate of chorizo pulao and I know that sounds like an odd combo, but trust me, both were absolutely worth it. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the sausages had just the right amount of spice, and the sourdough toast was crisp on the outside and soft inside. The Pulao was a whole other level — full of flavor, slightly tangy with that hit of coconut and spice, and the chorizo were so fresh they practically melted in my mouth.
The owner, a soft-spoken man in his 50s, came over to ask how everything was — and you could just tell he takes pride in the food and the vibe of the café. That made the experience feel even more personal.
I ended my meal with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a plate of warm churros dipped in dark chocolate — probably not very Goan or English, but an absolute must-try!
If you're into quiet spaces, amazing food (especially Goan), and soulful mornings with a book and coffee, this café is a dream. Just don’t tell too many people — let’s keep...
