5 Spice, Saki Naka – Review (300 words)
5 Spice at Saki Naka, Mumbai, is a popular go-to spot for lovers of Indo-Chinese cuisine with a twist of comfort food indulgence. Nestled in a bustling part of the city, this branch of the well-known 5 Spice chain offers a consistent dining experience, both in terms of flavor and portion size.
The ambience is casual yet inviting, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. It’s not overly fancy, but clean and functional – perfect for casual dining with friends, family, or even a quick solo meal. Service is generally prompt, though peak hours can result in slight delays.
The menu is extensive, covering everything from classic starters like Chicken Lollipop and Paneer Chilly to overloaded mains such as Burnt Garlic Fried Rice, Thai Pot Rice, and their signature gravies like Hot Garlic Sauce or Sapo Chicken. Portions are huge, often enough to share between two hungry diners. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are both well represented.
One of the major highlights is their dessert selection. The Death by Chocolate is a crowd favorite – a decadent, towering mix of chocolate cake, brownie, ice cream, and sauce – not for the faint-hearted or light eaters. It’s rich, heavy, and pure indulgence.
Prices are on the higher side compared to street Chinese joints, but justified by the generous portions and quality of ingredients. Hygiene standards are commendable.
In summary, 5 Spice in Saki Naka lives up to its brand reputation: hearty meals, big servings, flavorful sauces, and comfort food done right. It's not gourmet or cutting-edge, but if you're craving satisfying Indo-Chinese in a cozy setting, it delivers exactly what you’d expect – and a bit more. Just make sure to go with an appetite and maybe a friend to share...

Place known for its lip smacking chinese food, quality and quantity that is absolutely worth every penny spent.
I ordered my lunch from this place, since it's very near to my place I directly placed order by calling them! It was delivered on time in a tamperproof packaging and all safety measures in place. Perfect packaging it was, food was piping hot.
I ordered Red hot Paneer, Burnt chilli Rice, Singapore Noodles and exotic veg in soya chilli garlic sauce.
Red Hot Paneer - signature dish and I have ordered this on each and every visit to this Resturant. They managed to deliver the same experience at home too. Super soft melt in mouth big fresh paneer chunks so well tossed with veggies and soaked in the red hot sauce! This is definitely a must try.

Read moreHello Chinese lovers, If you are thinking Chinese or Thai and want your tummy filled up to the brim, this is the place you should be. Few positive take always-
Since its a diner, lets talk about the food.It was just exotic. If you are a fan of Oriental cuisine and Thai cuisines, this is a place that you shouldn't miss. We had chicken in red chilli pepper sauce. This dish really lived up to it's name. It was defenitely spicy. Then the main course confused our taste buds with sweet and spice at the same time. Thai Pot Rice with red Thai gravy. The rice was just perfectly cooked with lots of thick gravy containing coconut milk and vegetables. The right word to describe this dish would be "inspiring".
Even though, I didn't have it this time, because I am kind of an a diet, everybody who ends up here should try their Mission Impossible desert. Order it and you will understand the etymology.
Some factors which caused me to rate it 4 out of 5 stars even after serving some exquisite food with unique taste,
The ambience of this particular branch of 5-spice is not so great. It's very plain, even though they could have done something to uplift it. It has lot of empty space on the wall, which could have been designed to appeal the customers.
The waiter here was not at all friendly. The way he behaved was not suited for a waiter. Even though, the person who served us food was doing it with a smile always.
To sum it up, a good place to enjoy Chinese. Their quantity is huge. The dish we orders was sufficient for two or maybe even three people. It is defenitely value for money. Very positive that a true Oriental lover would defenitley love this...
