BOX8 - India's Largest Desi Meals Brand — Restaurant in Mumbai

I generally prefer visiting restaurants for having a good meal.This time i chose to try something different by having the meal come to me at my home.Yes this time i ordered for a home delivery .

I chose to order from Box 8.This place has an exciting,vast choice of food options to order from.They have options like all in onemealbox,wraps,sandwiches,salads,biryani,indian curries,desserts .

Box 8 food packaging was spot on.Delivery was quick and most importantly food was warm..The best part about them i feel is that they have many outlets in mumbai so they cover almost all areas of city unlike few delivery joints who are restricted only to delivery in certain areas of city. Box 8 deliver food even at midnight which is great for someone who craves for food late nights .One can order their food online on their website or through zomato as well

Coming to dishes i tried

Masala lemonade-A nice refreshing drink made from black salt and lime.It has a nice masala chatpatta flavour .I liked it

Tandoori paneer wrap(whole wheat) - Chunks of grilled paneer marinated with spicy masala and rolled to perfection in whole wheat paratha wrap.

Wheat paratha wrap is a healthy option but i wish if they also had option of roomali roti wraps too.

Mayo Tikki Wrap (whole wheat)-Veggie tikki in whole wheat paratha with mayo dressing .Simple,satisfying and tasty .

Chef's special special wrap (whole wheat) -Grated paneer served in whole wheat paratha wrap.Simply yummy.Must try.Grated paneer was sauteed in spicy masala to give it that edgy flavour while eating

Subz handi curry -A delicious indian curry .This had mixed vegetables in it like mushrooms and baby corn.Quantity wise it comes in good portions .I had this with Tawa paratha which box 8 gives in set of 2..Tasty

Paneer makhani curry -Another yummy indian curry.My all time favourite.This had large soft cubes of cottage cheese in it .I had this also with Tawa parathas.Delicious .Highly recommended .

Tawa parathas-This comes as set of 2 parathas.Neatly packed .Parathas were crispy & warm..A great option to have with indian curries.

Shahi paneer biryani-A signature dish of Box 8 for me.Once opened the biryani pack box..Aroma of shahi paneer biryani was just so good.Very tempting .This is given with minty curd .Goes really well with biryani.Quantity is good enough

Dilli wale rajma dal chawal meal box -Authentic delhi style rajma served with portion of rice,salad,chutney and tawa paratha.Enough portion size for 1 person.All in one.Value for money

Gulab jamuns-After a heavy meal.Time for some desserts.Supersoft,small cute sized gulabjamuns melted in my mouth the moment i had it.Importantly they were warm

Moong dal ka Halwa-A desi indian dessert made from pure ghee.Very tasty but there was too much of ghee in it .

Overall i had a great time having box 8 food.I recommend it .Definitely worth ordering...

I decided to order Box 8 Desi Meals and get it delivered right at my doorstep. Haha. But I must tell you that I was truly amazed by their services and hence I decided to pen it down so that You guys can read it as well.

We always complain about late food deliveries but Box 8 delivered me the order 23 minutes before time which showcases their efficiency.

I ordered Chole Tikki Meal, Dilli Rajma Meal, Amritsari Chole, Madagascar Chocolate Icecream, Sitaphal Icecream and Coconut & Pineapple Icecream. The meals cover everything from starters till desserts and are very affordable as well. The quantity of Amritsari Chole was sufficient for 3 people. The ice creams are 100% naturally made and come packed in 500ml family pack plastic containers. The plastic spoons and tissues are neatly wrapped in an envelope.

The meals are packed in a plastic container and covered with a transparent cover. The Chole Tikki Meal had Amritsari Chole, Veg Tikkis, Side Gravy of Chole (From a choice of Dal Makhni, Chole and Rajma), 2 Parathas, Rice, Salad, Mint Chutney and 5 Gulab Jamuns (From a choice of Gulab Jamuns and Rich Chocolate Brownie). The Dilli Rajma Meal had Authentic Dilli style Rajma, Side Gravy of Dal Makhni (From a choice of Dal Makhni, Chole and Rajma), 2 Parathas, Rice, Salad, Mint Chutney and 5 Gulab Jamuns (From a choice of Gulab Jamuns and Rich Chocolate Brownie).

Amritsari Chole were packed in a plastic container with a tightly sealed lid. The chole were not very spicy. They were sufficient for 3 people. They were very tasty and were melting in the mouth. The chole were filling as well.

Moving to the part that I was very excited about, is Ice creammms. The ice creams are 100% natural. Madagascar Chocolate ice cream was the cherry on the cake. The texture was smooth and velvety. It was chocolate-ly yummy. All chocoholics must try this dish. The Sitaphal ice cream was delicious and it felt like I was actually eating the freshly-mashed fruit. While, Coconut & Pineapple ice cream tasted out of this world. The pineapple tasted as if it was freshly cut.

My overall experience at Box 8 was 5/5. The food was amazing and the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. You guys must...

Oh! Why i can't stop myself praising box 8. There is something special with box 8 food that you need to try. The all good food comes with lovely and adorable packaging. The delivery is always on time. Just order your food and sit back relax, be assured about the timely delivery with box 8. We ordered mix veg tandoori wrap, chicken bhuna wrap, cheese feast sandwich, fiery paneer sandwich, farmer's market salad, dal makhni meal, and gulab jamun ice cream. All we ordered was very delicious and left us craving for more.

Mix veg tandoori wrap: a great whole wheat preparation. Veggies included were fresh. If you are mushroom lover, give this a try. Veggies were very tasty and mayonaise made them succulent.

Chicken bhuna wrap: Another must try wrap in the arsenal of box 8. Chicken was so delicious that it got melt in my mouth, and whole wheat covering made the feeling special.

Cheese fest sandwich: if you love sandwich then be ready to give a name to it. Cheese feast sandwich is something to drool for. Full of cheese, this preparation will leave you with cheesy memory.

Fiery paneer sandwich: A sandwich that will surely leave you in awe of it. Paneer pieces were quite tasty and fresh. The veggies were fresh and that added the extra flavor to it.

Farmer's market salad: the name says it all. A salad full of vegetables well mixed with mayonaise will give you refreshing and soothing feeling to your taste buds.

Dal makhni meal: if you ever loved dal makhni, then try dal makhni from box 8. It's so yummy and delicious. The paratha in meal were well and crispy. The gulab jamun, as dessert, were also tasty.

Gulab jamun ice cream: enjoying ice cream was never so fun. Try any ice cream from box 8, and i can assure you the rest. This one was a perfect blend of ice cream mixed with gulab jamun.
