Staying devotedly true to its culinary roots at the Haji Ali Juice Centre, Cafe Noorani has carried forward the tradition of serving great food with comforting service. Founded by Farid Noorani it has steadfastly served hot delightful meals from morning to midnight making each guest feel like being in their own kitchen. It has diligently adhered to its inherited commitment to quality, satisfaction and hospitality at the most reasonable prices. Just steps from calm waters of the Arabian sea in south Mumbai, Cafe Noorani attracts a varied clientele from around the city, including an extremely loyal following of regular patrons, food aficionados, tourists and celebrities. Cafe Noorani has been serving authentic Mughlai cuisine at the highest standards making each guest feel like a Nawab for well over 3 decades. The menu boasts of quintessential classics like biryanis, tandooris, kebabs and rolls as well as savoury delights like Chicken Nargis, Green Chicken, Prawns Masala and the signature Chicken Noorani Deluxe. Apart from Mughlai tastes, Cafe Noorani serves up a wide array of tantalizing Punjabi and Chinese dishes. These scrumptious meals can be ended on a sweet note with their luscious milk-shakes and rich faloodas. Whether you want to a take-away or relax in their air-conditioned restaurant at Cafe Noorani you can be assured that it will be light on your wallet and a delectable feast for your senses! The key to Cafe Noorani’s impeccable record of being one of the best is a single word: "Consistency." Day after day, year after year, decade after decade it has been serving amazing food with the best service without compromising on taste or quality. The ever growing loyal clientele from party-animals to workaholics and from families to friends is the testament of Cafe Noorani’s devotion to consistency. Carrying on in the footsteps of its progenitor the Haji All Juice Centre, it has come to be regarded as an icon in the gastronomic terrain of Mumbai.Giving back to society is a big part of Cafe Noorani’s philosophy. He believes that just as one is hospitable in the restaurant one must be responsible to the society. Thus, Cafe Noorani provides wholesome food for both body and soul. Source-Cafe Noorani

Semi-open cafe at popular point just opposite Haji Ali. Open to the road on one side, so lots of wind and noise from the road. Has lines of small tables with seating for 4 and for 2. So it's difficult to go with large groups unless you mind sitting a bit separate. Service was prompt and efficient but not too special and personalised. Starters were pretty good. We ordered a chicken platter (assorted types, 12-13 pieces total) and a fish chutneywala (4 pieces, bit salty). Main course was alright. Chicken garlic tikka wasn't as good as expected, mutton nargis was great. Though we had heard a lot about the Chicken tikka biryani, it was only just alright. Didn't try any desserts. Overall, a good place to go for mughlai cuisine, but perhaps not worth the high price they charge. Rating: Starters 7/10 Main course 6/10 Service 6/10 Ambience 3/10 Price 4/10 Location 8/10 P.S. There's a nice paan shop adjacent to it, just outside the restaurant. Worth a go!

I came to Cafe Noorani for lunch after visiting the nearby Haji Ali Mosque. The restaurant has a large menu of Indian dishes, although they do have Indian style Chinese dishes as well. Inside, it looks like a pretty standard Indian restaurant, nothing amazing looking, but the prices are definitely in the mid range for India. The waiter who came to get my order spoke no English and did understand what I wanted even after I pointed to it on the menu. Eventually he had to get one of his colleagues to help him out. I asked for a Aloo mutter, rice and a sweet lassi. The 2nd waiter had the presence to ask if I wanted the meal spicy or not, so kudos for that. I thought the aloo mutter was too heavy on the cream, but otherwise tasted okay, slightly sweet and tangy. I never got the lassi and I find that it seems to be common practice in Indian restaurants to rely on memory. Overall, I thought the meal was nothing special and over-priced.

I recently ordered the Chicken Tikka Biryani from this restaurant, and it was a complete letdown. First, the portion size was incredibly small. For the price they charge, you'd expect a decent serving, but what I received was barely enough for one person. It felt like they were skimping on the ingredients to save costs.

Secondly, the taste was far from what you'd expect in a biryani. The chicken was dry and lacked any real flavor. It didn't have the marinated, succulent quality of good chicken tikka, and the rice was bland, missing the rich spices and aromas that make biryani special. It tasted like a poorly thrown-together dish rather than a thoughtfully prepared meal.

To make matters worse, the biryani was drenched in unhealthy oil. It was greasy to the point of being off-putting, and it left a heavy, unpleasant aftertaste. It was clear that cheap, low-quality oil was used, which not only ruined the flavor but also made the dish feel unhealthy.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The small portion, poor taste, and excessive, unhealthy oil make this Chicken Tikka Biryani something I would not recommend. I won't be ordering from this...
