Read moreI recently ordered the Chicken Tikka Biryani from this restaurant, and it was a complete letdown. First, the portion size was incredibly small. For the price they charge, you'd expect a decent serving, but what I received was barely enough for one person. It felt like they were skimping on the ingredients to save costs.
Secondly, the taste was far from what you'd expect in a biryani. The chicken was dry and lacked any real flavor. It didn't have the marinated, succulent quality of good chicken tikka, and the rice was bland, missing the rich spices and aromas that make biryani special. It tasted like a poorly thrown-together dish rather than a thoughtfully prepared meal.
To make matters worse, the biryani was drenched in unhealthy oil. It was greasy to the point of being off-putting, and it left a heavy, unpleasant aftertaste. It was clear that cheap, low-quality oil was used, which not only ruined the flavor but also made the dish feel unhealthy.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The small portion, poor taste, and excessive, unhealthy oil make this Chicken Tikka Biryani something I would not recommend. I won't be ordering from this...
Read moreSemi-open cafe at popular point just opposite Haji Ali. Open to the road on one side, so lots of wind and noise from the road. Has lines of small tables with seating for 4 and for 2. So it's difficult to go with large groups unless you mind sitting a bit separate. Service was prompt and efficient but not too special and personalised. Starters were pretty good. We ordered a chicken platter (assorted types, 12-13 pieces total) and a fish chutneywala (4 pieces, bit salty). Main course was alright. Chicken garlic tikka wasn't as good as expected, mutton nargis was great. Though we had heard a lot about the Chicken tikka biryani, it was only just alright. Didn't try any desserts. Overall, a good place to go for mughlai cuisine, but perhaps not worth the high price they charge. Rating: Starters 7/10 Main course 6/10 Service 6/10 Ambience 3/10 Price 4/10 Location 8/10
P.S. There's a nice paan shop adjacent to it, just outside the...
