Although I would have given this restaurant a 4 star as we go there every weekend but am giving a star less for poor service and intentional overcharging by the restaurant on every occasion we have dined there. Please be extremely careful as they inflate the bills, they will always add an additional beer or drink in your bill, only when you confront them is that when they accept their mistake and change the bill to the right amount. The last time the waiter added an extra 3 litre pitcher costing approx 3K to the bill while we had just taken 2 pitchers instead of the 3 which were billed, on being confronted he said that we were the only ones taking the pitcher and was not agreeing that he had only served us 2 pitchers, finally when we called the manager and told him that we want to see the CCTV footage is when the manager himself said that we had taken 2 pitchers and not 3, if the manager knew this then why were we billed for 3 pitchers in the first place is what is not understood? Were they trying their luck with us in case we fail to notice the intentional inflating of the bill? This had happened to us the second time, on an earlier occasion they had charged us an additional glass of draught beer costing 550 bucks. The second bad thing about them is that the moment you tell them not to add the service charge to the bill the waiters make such faces that it will put Jim Carrey to shame. They still convince you to pay the service charge and when you refuse then they ask for your name and mobile number, don't know where this is mandatory under law that if you refuse to pay the service charge then you have to share your name and mobile number. Strange and poor practice being followed by the restaurant. The food and ambiance is fine, the service can be much better, on weekends you have to keep looking left and right for the service staff, they keep disappearing in between. The food is fine and so is the ambiance however this is a much smaller Social in size compared to other ones. Overall fine other than the intentional inflation of the bill and the patchy service plus obsession over the staff's...

It’s ideal for a laid-back evening with friends or a more lively gathering, especially on weekends when the place tends to get busier.
I did face an issue during my visit when I found a hair in my food. However, I appreciate that they took responsibility for the mistake and did not charge me for the meal as compensation, which shows they care about customer satisfaction. The service is generally friendly and efficient, although it can slow down a bit during peak hours. The crowd is mostly young professionals and socialites, creating an upbeat, fun vibe.
Overall, Carter Road Social is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to unwind, indulge in some delicious food and drinks, and enjoy a great time in a buzzing, relaxed setting. Despite the small hiccup, their proactive response makes it a place I would...
Read moreI specifically called my friend all the way from Navi Mumbai to meet at Carter Road Social for the sea view, and it turned into an absolute disaster! We sat at a table with a perfect view of the sea, after a while a bunch of kids walk in, and the waitress has the audacity to tell us she’s switching our table while we’re eating! She told us that we were informed about it, while we weren’t.
She moved us to a cramped table that had barely any space, even though she could clearly see my friend had his laptop out and was working. To make matters worse, the new table didn’t even have room for my food! Not a single apology for the inconvenience – nothing! We could have just gone to the Khar outlet if they were going to treat us like this. What’s the point of coming to Carter Road Social if we can’t even enjoy the view we came for?
And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the place was practically empty when we arrived, yet it took forever for them to bring out a simple beer! What was the guy doing, brewing it himself? We even had a reservation, got there early to get a good seat, and this is how we’re treated?
This whole experience was so infuriating we ended up leaving because we were beyond upset. And guess what? The staff didn’t even care! They were too busy catering to a group of kids, hoping for a fat bill. It’s clear they couldn’t care less about actual customer service.
I’m never stepping foot in this place again, and I’ll make sure none of my friends do either. Pathetic staff,...
