Finally the moment to share my experience..... Took some time as there are lots to speak about this place.
Nestled amidst the bustling busy venue of the city, Olive Bar and Kitchen stands as a true gem, a gastronomic oasis that transcends the ordinary and elevates the art of dining to an unforgettable experience. As I walked through its charming entrance, I knew I was about to embark on a culinary journey like no other.
Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Olive Bar and Kitchen is an enchanting fusion of rustic charm and contemporary elegance. The moment you step into its lush, sun-drenched courtyard, the world outside seems to disappear. Surrounded by verdant foliage and bathed in the warm glow of twinkling fairy lights, the atmosphere here is nothing short of magical. It's like stepping into the Mediterranean itself.
Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The impeccable service at Olive Bar and Kitchen is a testament to their commitment to excellence. The staff exudes warmth and hospitality, making you feel like a cherished guest rather than just a diner. They are well-versed in the intricacies of the menu, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring your glass is never empty. It's the kind of service that leaves you feeling pampered and valued.
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Now, let's talk about the real star of the show - the food. Olive Bar and Kitchen boasts a menu that reads like a love letter to Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment you take your first bite, you'll be transported to the sun-kissed shores of Greece, Italy, and beyond.
For starters, I highly recommend the mezze platter - a delightful array of hummus, tzatziki, falafel, and more. It's a flavor explosion that sets the stage for what's to come. The wood-fired pizzas are a must-try; I opted for the Margherita with buffalo mozzarella, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The main courses are equally impressive; the Seafood Risotto is a creamy masterpiece, while the Lamb Shank slow-cooked in red wine will melt in your mouth.
Don't forget to save room for dessert. The Tiramisu is a delicate marvel, and the Chocolate Fondant oozes perfection. Each dish is a masterpiece, carefully crafted with the finest ingredients.
As a wine enthusiast, I was delighted by their extensive wine selection. The sommelier was more than happy to guide me through the choices, and the wine list is a reflection of Olive's dedication to providing a complete culinary experience.
In conclusion, Olive Bar and Kitchen isn't just a restaurant; it's an escape, a celebration of the senses. From the captivating atmosphere to the impeccable service and the extraordinary cuisine, it's a place where memories are made and where every moment is an indulgence. I wholeheartedly recommend Olive Bar and Kitchen to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience. Come for the food, stay for the magic; it's a journey you'll want to take...
Read moreI had the worst experience here . I am from Assam and I visited Mumbai’s Olive Bar and Kitchen only after my friends recommended me of it and after I saw many pictures of people in that location .
We ordered foods twice and as a food blogger I was taking pictures and videos of the location , the food and of myself .
The manager or owner ( no idea ) came to me and shouted rudely making me feel embarrassed and insulted infront of everyone.
I have an image and if you don’t allow shooting basic things , mention in the gate “MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY IS PROHIBITED “ .
I wasted my money and time in the place and that person could politely come to me and say that we don’t allow mobile photography too for you ( others can do it as I saw many images ) .
He was rude , insulted me that hurted my self esteem and he have no respect for female as I saw it , he threw all his anger on me and everyone stared while he came rushing .
Disgusted by the behaviour and insult .
I don’t recommend anyone who wants to take picture in the Location specially if you are travelling from another state just to visit this place .
Took a flight all over from Assam , rode a cab , wasted 1900 on food just to visit this mean place and get insulted in such a rude way .
Kindly do not visit if you are not a stupid like me and loves to take cafe and self pics with phone...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews and trying (unsuccessfully) to secure a table three times, I had high hopes. What a disappointment!
The food was ok, the ingredients were fresh and the flavours not unpleasant, but the menu isn't extensive and, comparatively, it is expensive.
The real disappointments were: the service and the environment. Firstly, although the restaurant is heavily populated with waiters, the service is poor. The staff are inattentive and aloof, to the point of being rude. Secondly, the staff blatantly try to up-sell products. We were told the wine we ordered (costing 6200) was not in stock: we were given an alternative, a screw top with a price tag of 1340 rupees on the back, but were charged the same price! Similarly, when I tried to order a glass of Sula Brut, I was told only imported sparkling wine was available. Finally, I was expecting a lovely setting. However, on entering I was met with a musty/stagnant smell - most unpleasant. The 'shabby chic' style of the furniture didn't impress - it just looked filthy. And the toilets, with the bizarre pink decor, frankly looked unsanitary.
Overall, at 15000 rupees for 'cheap' wine, two mediocre courses for two, and poor service, Olive is far from good value. I certainly will not be going back, and will advise my friends to...
