Located in the vibrant area of Kalbadevi, Central Restaurant is a hidden gem for those seeking authentic and delicious kebab platters and tea. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I had heard rave reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. I can confidently say that Central Restaurant surpassed my expectations with their mouthwatering offerings. Upon entering Central Restaurant, I was greeted by a cozy and inviting ambiance. The staff was warm and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my dining experience. The menu was extensive, but I was particularly interested in their kebab platters and tea selection. The kebab platters at Central Restaurant were simply outstanding. The meat was tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor. Whether it was the juicy chicken tikka, the perfectly marinated seekh kebabs, or the melt-in-your-mouth lamb kebabs, each bite was a delight to the senses. The platters were served with a generous portion of aromatic rice, fresh salad, and delicious homemade naan bread, completing the culinary journey. What impressed me further was their tea selection. Central Restaurant takes great pride in their tea offerings, and it shows. Their tea menu featured an array of options, including traditional Indian chai, herbal infusions, and exotic blends. I opted for their masala chai, and it was a revelation. The tea was brewed to perfection, striking the right balance between the robustness of spices and the soothing warmth of milk. It was the ideal accompaniment to the rich and flavorful kebabs. The attention to detail in Central Restaurant's food preparation and presentation was commendable. Each dish was beautifully plated, showcasing the chef's expertise and passion for their craft. The flavors were authentic, and the quality of ingredients was evident in every bite. Moreover, the pricing at Central Restaurant was reasonable, considering the generous portions and the exceptional taste. It is a place where you can enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank In conclusion, Central Restaurant at Kalbadevi is a haven for kebab and tea enthusiasts. With their delectable kebab platters and impressive tea selection, it is a place that delivers on both taste and ambiance. Whether you're a local or a visitor exploring the culinary scene of Mumbai, I highly recommend paying a visit to Central Restaurant. Prepare to indulge in a gastronomic experience that will leave you craving for more.

"Unacceptable Hygiene—Found a Dead Lizard in the Chicken Fried Rice" I visited central restaurant for lunch yesterday (August 9, 2025) with my wife. I ordered roti and dal gosht, and my wife ordered chicken fried rice. She ate half of the rice, and we had the remaining portion packed to take away. When we reached home and opened the parcel, we were horrified to find a dead lizard mixed in with the rice. This is beyond unacceptable. It’s unsanitary, disturbing, and deeply disappointing. We expect a basic standard of food safety—one that was clearly not upheld in this case. I strongly urge management to: Conduct a thorough investigation into hygiene and food preparation protocols.

Food is lip-smacking. I ordered mutton dabba gosht which I ate with a naan and a tandoori roti. Both the breads were nice, but the star was the mutton dabba gosht. This is a preparation of mutton pieces, minced mutton, quartered boiled eggs, tomatoes cooked with various spices and masalas. This together with a few strands of spaghetti is finally enveloped in a very thin egg omelette. Highly recommended for children or anyone else who may struggle with chillies. Even the regular daal gosht, which is a comparatively plain dish, will never leave you disappointed as the mastery over the cooking process permeates any and every dish I have ordered here so far.

Well, this restuarant is exactly opposite to what it claims, 1st) As it states here on Google, "Does not accept reservations", BUT you'll always find the "RESERVED" Placard on most of the tables!

2nd) THEY DO NOT ACCEPTS CARDS OR GPAY! only CASH! GO ONLY IF YOU DO NOT WANT ANY LAST MOMENT HASSLES!

3rd) I have been here several times, and over the years they're NOW, Looting their customers to utmost extent, For example, even for the complimentary stuffs like Schezwan sauce or FRIED NOODLES! they charge you a good amount. Initially, it was just Schezwan, but to my surprise, Today they charged me for a petty thing like fried noodles, which is complimentary with soup everywhere! But they charge you here for that.

And as a foodie, I still went ahead agreed to pay,

But to my surprise , later in the bill, they are claiming it as, "EXTRA FRIED NOODLES" whereas NO, IT WASN'T "EXTRA"..!

IT WAS CHARGED SIMPLY LIKE OTHER THINGS IN THE MENU! We DID NOT DEMAND ANY EXTRA FRIED NOODLES OR SO!

SO BEWARE OF THESE THUGS!

THEY ARE NOT WHAT THEY...
