Chaayos Cafe at Chapel Road, Bandra West — Restaurant in Mumbai

Chaayos is a cafe chain which has made a niche within short period of time across country .. I happened to visit this outlet on Tues eve specially to try their newly launched #sunsationalsummer which includes cool n wide range of shakes.. I liked the ambiance out here.. They have seatings in AC as well as non ac section.. Non ac section looks more like a garden.. Like other chaayos cafe this place also has also been beautifully decorated with wall art and frame posters related to many different kinds of Chai... Overall a perfect atmosphere to relax .. I started here with veg Paneer salad .. This one was fresh having bell peppers,lettuce, onions n Paneer.. Paneer was not as soft as I would I have liked but it tasted good n was not at all bland like salads are at most places .. Its bit on spicy side so if u want it mild spicy do let them know beforehand while placing order .. Tea/coffee Cafe's are not that known to serve u good food but this one is exceptional.. I had spinach corn cheese sandwich which was served hot n fresh.. It had two pieces of palatable bun which was extremely cheesy n was loaded with spinach n corn .. This one was enjoyable.. We also had kulhad matar kulcha which was good but not up to the mark.. Kulcha were fluffy n were nicely baked n buttered n was topped with chilly flakes n herbs .. Matar are served in two kulhads n were cooked well but it was less spicy n did not have desired tangy taste to it .. Not that authentic in taste but decent one.. We had this Paneer bhurji bun n it had scrumptious Paneer bhurji on top of softest buns one can imagine.. It was very good one... As said they have recently launched three milk shakes n I happened to try that all.. Motichoor shake was unique one..These balls of big boondi made of gram flour was blended well with milk to prepare this delicious thick shake which was hard to resist .. It was sweet but not over sweet as one may assume it to be.. Prefect summer drink n yaa very creative.. Had chocolate cake shake which was too good n best of shakes I had out here .. It tasted a bit like cold cocoa n was a pleasant beverage in its own right.. I also had kulfi shake which was more like kulfi falooda having chia seeds in lot.. I personally found it too much sweet.. We ended our meal with factory chocolate cake which was very yummy n it was very soft n light on eating.. Service was good.. Staff welcomes you with smile n are very courteous.. Overall its a good place to visit anytime of day.. I'm sure u guys won't be disappointed My recommendations - Spinach corn cheese sandwich, Paneer bhurji bun, motichoor shake n...

Had heard about this place and being a tea fanatic I always wanted to visit this place and I finally got a chance to visit it.

This Chaayos outlet is in Bandra reclamation, nearing mount mary and situated in the lane behind Lilavati Hospital.

The first thing which amazed me about this place is not the ambience but just when i opened the door the employees welcome you in a unique manner. That immediately brings positivity around and you actually feel welcomed into the place.

Coming directly to the ambience it was just perfect, it has an outdoor and indoor section and the wearing arrangements are well set up so no complains there at all. There is enough place for even a large group.

Have to be really serious here when i say that i had no idea that chaayos would have such a wide variety of food as well and i thought it would be just the tea.

Started off with Shahi chai, this tea gave me one royal experience , the chai was thick and creamy and topped with dry fruits, it was absolutely a treat served in a kulhad.

Experiencing the kulhad I wasn't sure how the others would taste but chaayos definitely has a distinction between their tea' s.

I tried the kulhad tea which is saffron masala chai served in a kulhad, this chai is truly brilliant and the essence of the saffron enhanced the flavour.

Being amazed by the experience I thought lets try something different, so i had the gur wali chai. So that is basically jaggery added instead of sugar, but this justice to both the chai and your health too.

As i mentioned before there is a vide spread menu too so we ordered the chicken topped kulcha, sicilian chicken sandwich, kheema pav and palak patta crispies. The food was good but j would strongly recommend the kulcha, it was fantastic and is a must try for every visitor.

The sicilian chicken sandwich was a beauty too, very well cooked chicken with a little gravy packed into a delicious soft baked bread.

The palak crispies are nice but would prefer them more may be on a rainy day with a hot cup of tea.

Ended my meal with something soothing and tried it only because everyone who walks-in in this heat would want something cool and the mint lemonade does absolute justice. It is so tasty and an amazing cooler which soothes your mind and gives you this fresh experience.

So chaayos is not just a place for some hot tea but It has amazing food and coolers too. I'm waiting eagerly to visit this place again.

Chaayos is my favourite hang out place and i love to explore all it's outlets which are close to me. This time i happened to visit the bandra outlet which is located along a turn on the chapel road. Their outdoor seating is lovely. Breezy, clean and open. Their indoor seating is cute and quite spacious with apt lightings and cute Graffities.

I ordered for the following

Strawberry Milkshake- this one is made with real fresh strawberries blended nicely in milk with some froth layer on the top. A lovely healthy and natural milkshake. 5\5

Modinagar shikanji- who doesn't love shikanji? Right? A perfectly made, not very sweet shikanji. Totally loved this 5\5

Kala khatta ice tea- a nice blend of ice tea with Kala khatta flavor to it and a layer of froth again. Can be tried. 4\5

Desi chai- a perfectly made creamy pani kum, kadak, regular sugar with a dash of adrak and elaichi is what you need to get that caffeine kick ;) desi chai is their USP and ofcourse i don't need to mention how amazing their chais are! :) 5\5

Sicilian chicken sandwich- their garlic and mixed herbs focaccia bread is soo damn soft and fresh and tasty that i could just eat the damn bread and never get saturated with it's lovely aroma and taste!! Nicely made chicken sandwich served with Chipotle mayo dip (which is amazing too btw) :) 5\5

Garden fresh sandwich- a typical healthy sandwich comprising of tomatoes, cucumber and onions placed on garlic bread with cheese, served with a side mumbai style green chilli pudina chutney to get your taste buds dancing. Certainly a must try! :D 5\5

Spinach corn sandwich- a mixture of spinach corn and melted cheese layered on garlic focaccia bread served with a garlic mayo dip is something you'd crave for. Ps- this is a bit on the sweeter side because of the sweet corn and garlic mayo!! 5\5

Chicken open paratha- a thin and crisp paratha base onto which was layered a red spicy creamy layer of butter chicken Gravy infused with melted cheese and chunks of juicy chicken. Lovely dish. A must try. 4.5\5
