Earth CafĂŠ Juhu: Come for the tea, stay for the gaslighting and Where delusion is served hotter than the coffee Staff lies, manager screams, no changes allowed, no respect offered. If you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience, this is your spot..
Used to come here all the time. Two whole years of loyalty â for what? So I could be disrespected over a cup of tea? The downfall of this place is honestly impressive. It takes real effort to go from favorite hangout to absolute joke.
Let me paint you a picture: you ask for a minor change to your dish or drink â maybe no sugar, oat milk instead, a slightly different prep? Sounds reasonable, right? Not here. At Earth CafĂŠ Juhu, the motto is: âIt is what it is. Take it or leave it.â You donât like it? Too bad. They wonât change it. They wonât cancel it. Theyâll have a smirk on the their face and still make you pay for it like youâre the problem. Love that for us.
Let me break what recently happened :- I ordered green tea. The waiter confidently tells me itâs made with fresh tea leaves. What I get? Dipped tea. Like a sad hotel breakfast tea bag pretending to be premium. I ask to replace it with literally anything else â fresh tea, a cappuccino, a Spanish latte, juice or maybe just not be scammed? But no. The staff suddenly morph into robots: âOnly dipped tea is available.â Over and over. No help, no care, just attitude.
So I go up front and ask for the manager. Spoiler: he doesnât even bother to come out. Hides in the back like Iâm a threat to national security. Eventually, when he does show up (20 minutes later, thanks for the wait!), he skips the basics like listening or professionalism and goes straight to screaming. Says his staff never claimed what they clearly did( he wasnât there when I was placing my order ) , then starts yelling at me about the menu . Sorry, are we gaslighting customers now as part of the service?
No solution. No apology. Just aggression and ego. And when I say Iâm not paying for something I didnât order or drink, after an argument he throws the bill on my table and says, âMake it zero,â followed by the iconic line: âPlease donât come next time. We wonât be able to accommodate you.â Oh honey, donât worry. I wonât. You couldnât accommodate basic respect, let alone me.
Also, fun fact: If you donât like something or just want a tiny change? Forget it. This place doesnât believe in customer preferences. The food and drinks come as they are â and so does the arrogance.
So if youâre in the mood to be insulted, ignored, and yelled at over some lukewarm tea, Earth CafĂŠ Juhu is calling your name. Otherwise, do what the staff here clearly doesnât: have...
Read moreLong story short: the the wait staff made us feel very unwelcome to the establishment. So I obviously donât recommend them. They basically nagged us into leaving the establishment :)
Hereâs the long version.
So my friend and I decided to go there today and ordered drinks/food. While enjoying our drinks/food we were requested by the staff to move to a smaller table to accommodate a larger group on our table which we obviously had no issues with given we were just two people. Now this is where it gets interesting. Literally 20 mins into having moved to the new spot and just having finished our bruschetta, the waiter came and asked if we were done. I found this funny because we had just moved from another table but decided to ignore it and ordered some more coffee since my friend and I were in the middle of a conversation. We must have chatted another 30 mins and while in the middle of our coffee we had another wait staff come and ask us if we were done and if we could leave because there was a que of people apparently. We obliged thinking the line must be really long! I looked over and generally speaking couldnât see a âlineâ of people. Perhaps there were people outside the door that we couldnât see? But I did find the behavior annoying given we were a) paying customers b) we had been quite cognizant of their seating constraints and switched with a larger group of people(who were very happy and thanked us) C) we werenât actually done! We paid our bill and finally exited but we couldnât find the so called âlineâ that the wait staff was talking about. In essence, they optimized for two people sitting in the last corner so that they could accommodate newer customers! Look in all for establishments wanting to make more money. But would be nice to not nag your customers...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of visiting Earth cafe, and I can confidently say that it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had. From the exorbitant prices to the lackluster food, this cafÊ failed to deliver on every front. Let's start with the pricing. I understand that some establishments charge a premium for quality, but [CafÊ Name] took it to a whole new level. The menu boasted lofty prices that would lead you to expect a culinary masterpiece, but what I received was far from it. It felt like a slap in the face to pay such exorbitant amounts for what turned out to be subpar dishes. Speaking of the food, it was nothing short of disappointing. I ordered their supposedly signature dish, but it arrived looking like a sad, underwhelming imitation of what was described on the menu. The presentation lacked creativity, and the flavors were completely underwhelming. The ingredients seemed cheap, and it felt like the kitchen staff had no passion or skill when it came to preparing the dishes. The food lacked seasoning, tasted bland, and left me craving something more satisfying. To make matters worse, the portion sizes were laughably small for the prices charged. I left the cafÊ feeling unsatisfied and had to find an alternative place to appease my hunger. It's mind-boggling that Earth Cafe believes it can get away with serving tiny portions and charging an arm and a leg for them.
All in all, I cannot recommend Earth Cafe to anyone. The combination of sky-high prices, subpar food, and lackluster service make it a complete disappointment. Save your hard-earned money and seek out other dining options where you can truly enjoy your meal without...
