24 April 2019 - 19.30 hours "One stop solution for cheesecakes"
I have always been looking at this place and wondering why it is always full, figured out today- because of their cheesecakes Poetry is a sub outlet of Love & Cheesecakes- they have 4 outlets of Poetry and 3 of Love & Cheesecakes and we went to the newly opened Juhu outlet of Poetry. The difference here is that they have some books placed in the outlet which you can read along with some cute fancy show pieces placed perfectly. It is located in one of the welcomed areas of Juhu- near Prithvi theatre or Juhu beach. The outlet has a certain romantic feel. There is parking available right outside the outlet (both 2 & 4 wheelers)
We mainly visited this place for trying out the desserts but ended up having dinner as we figured out they have a food menu as well but with less options. Who loves healthy beverages? I believe everyone. There are little more than a couple of options and one can choose according to their preference, we chose ESSENTIALLY RED which is a mixture of beet, carrot, watermelon and apple (healthiest of all). One of the unique soups that one can try is CREAM OF MUSHROOM- it was really different and fresh, it was served along with bread. The highlight was the charcoal burger named ODE TO A CHEESEBURGER- it has a black shiny bun with juicy chicken patty, some veggies and sauce. It is a must try here. And finally, the dish which we entered the outlet for had its chance- Desserts. We opted one of the cheesecake pastries and one regular pastry. The CHOCOLATE SIN tasted better than the BROWNIE BAKED CHEESECAKE to me because I am more of a chocolate lover, however the cheesecake had a lot of cheese and tasted amazing.
Staff is well trained on mannerism and politeness. Our table was managed by Siddhesh who is the right example of the same. A place must go for dessert lovers, especially cheesecakes. other items ordered were Alfredo penne white pasta & Hot chocolate
Pros: Beautiful decor Cheesecake varieties
Cons: Not too many options for food apart from cakes
Recommendation: Ode to a cheeseburger Chocolate Sin
Cost: 1760 Ratings: 4.5

Read moreI have been looking at this outlet of Poetry by Love n Cheesecake since a long time. The interiors are cute, there are so many varieties of cheesecake here and there are books here where I can spend hours n hours.
I decided to drop in here one weekday with my friend to chill out with some food and books.
There are many different types of seatings here and all are really cozy and comfortable. They have literally sooo many varieties of fresh cheesecakes that we can choose from the counter and each one is total value for money.
Mushroom Soup :
We started with some mushroom soup. This was creamy but a little too thick. Taste was good. They serve it with a slice of garlic bread. Perfect for mushroom lovers.
Kale and Avocado Salad :
Kale is my favorite green these days and I found the salad description really nice so thought of ordering this. They serve a big bowl of salad which will be enough for 1 person. Kale leaves, sliced almonds, sliced avocado, sliced sweet lime, all mixed with a tangy dressing. It was really refreshing and much needed in this summer weather.
An Ode to The Cheeseburger :
Charcoal bread bun with juicy chicken inside along with sauces and onion, tomato, lettuce and jalapenos. Served with crispy french fries and coleslaw on the side. It was just amazing. Soft bun, juicy chicken, crispy fries, the coleslaw was fresh and to die for.
I was full already after the salad and burger but still kept some place for the Cheesecake. I chose the Original New York Baked Cheesecake. Beautifully cooked cheesecake, absolutely in love with this. I wantes to try others too and will definitely go back for more.
The service is pretty quick. Staff is always smiling. I love the book collection here which are mainly classics and poems, but wish they would add more genres here so that there's something for...
Read moreGo here and indulge in cheesecakes, but here's what I loved... Veg Club Sandwich Watermelon & Basil Iced Tea Café Latte with Hazelnut
Also tried their Mandarin Mojito.
Veg Club Sandwich: A single, regular-sized sandwich — not the huge triangle you usually expect from a “club sandwich.” It’s toasted (not grilled), cut into two halves, and has three layers: One layer is a mix of finely diced mushrooms and zucchini. You can’t request “no zucchini” since it’s pre-mixed, but the zucchini flavour is very mild. Then bread, followed by cheese slice and avocado pieces. The spice level is below medium, which I liked — but don’t expect a chatpata (tangy-spicy) taste. Served with lettuce, 1–2 cherry tomatoes, and a handful of fries. Very filling.
Watermelon & Basil Iced Tea: Quantity is just right — not too much, not too little. A perfect balance of watermelon and iced tea flavours. Even if you normally don’t like iced tea, you may enjoy this, as the watermelon and basil dominate the taste. Looks beautiful with a slice of watermelon on the glass, plus diced watermelon pieces and basil leaves inside. Pairs perfectly with the sandwich.
Mandarin Mojito: For those who enjoy strong, tangy flavours. It was both quite sour and quite sweet for my taste, with mandarin peel adding a touch of bitterness. Some may like the bold mix, but it wasn’t for me.
Café Latte (Hazelnut): A humble, subtle coffee — perfect for a long conversation. I tried it with hazelnut syrup but would probably ask for a lighter hand on the syrup next time.
Ambience: Great for a group of friends or for enjoying solo with a book.
Two points to note:
Parking can be tricky, especially around the Juhu and Powai outlets. No plug points at tables. If you need to charge your device, you’ll have to hand it to the staff to plug in...
