Garde Manger cafe is a delightful treat to all the people who wish to stay healthy and wish to eat lip smacking food at the same time. The flavours in the healthy dishes made here blew my mind away, I was astonished to see how healthy food can be made so tasty.
The Cafe is a very beautiful place to hang out with your friends or loved ones, it has a green forest / garden theme around its walls and the wooden bench and tables add to the theme. All the salads are made fresh in front of you, the sandwiches along with some other main course and desserts are made in the basement kitchen.
◽Mumbai Local 2 Cones (ORDER IT)
The healthier version of Mumbai Bhel Puri, this one has Chickpeas, Arugula, Cottage Cheese, Onion, Tomato, of course Puffed Rice. The Mint and Tamarind chutney gave a very interesting chaat like flavour to it. Now comes the best thing, they pour -321°F Liquid Nitrogen over it and convert it into a HEALTHY ICE BHEL 💙

◽Asian Noodles Salad (ORDER IT)
Ok first things first, it's not a salad you can eat it like a main course. This one has 3 different kinds of noodles accompanied with lots of Cottage Cheese diced beautifully into small cubes, Red Cabbage and Soy Peanut Dressing which was then finished with some fresh Green Onions. This was a hit!

Cherry Tomato, Bocconcini Cheese, Basil leaves on a stick topped with Balsamic Reduction and Fresh Pesto. I am not a big fan of Balsamic Reduction so I didn't like it much.

We all are familiar with what a Cesar salad is, here they have taken the Cesar Salad to its extreme level all the Lettuce, Cherry Tomatoes, Olive and one Crouton were speared with a stick and it was coated with Caesar dressing and Balsamic Reduction. This is one superb innovation.

Hands Down this is the BEST Paneer Tikka Sandwich I have ever had! The secret Tandoori Sauce in it was the game changer, and my absolute favourite. Whole Wheat Focaccia Bread was the best bread to select for this sandwich. Commendable job done by the Chef here, please keep up the good work.

I again cannot believe that it was made from Chickpea and Walnut Flour along with Banana. You can definitely taste the Banana and Walnut in it but you will never be able to guess that it has been made with Chickpea. Outstanding!

One Chocolate Ball filled with Brownie and Nuts was Topped with Hot Chocolate Sauce to melt the Chocolate Ball and unveil the deliciousness.

Garde Manger indicates a cold pantry in French, and the menu leans heavily in that direction, with most of its space taken by salads, smoothies and cold-pressed juices.
What we were served: Mumbai Local, Muesli Peanut Smoothie, Mediterranean Grilled Salad, Zoodles Salad, Paneer Tikka Sandwich, Lebanese Sandwich, Greek Yogurt and Apple Crumble.
Mumbai Local - Bhelpuri gets a salad makeover in the Mumbai Local where chickpeas, paneer, tomato and onion get only a smattering of puffed rice for crunch. Served in banana-fiber cones, it has all the taste of the Juhu beach snack, with none of the worry about hygiene.
Muesli Peanut Smoothie - Start your day off right with this satisfying creamy treat having protein and no added sugar for a yummy breakfast or dessert! This low flavored smoothie is high on fibers and protein.
Mediterranean Grilled Salad - Isn't it funny how sometimes the simplest things taste the best? In the mood to sip wine on a Greek balcony but trapped in a cubicle? Take a big bite of Mediterranean Roasted Vegetable. Tender zucchini, red peppers, and potatoes are tossed with Greek vinaigrette and topped with a bit of crumbled Feta cheese and basil leaves for a little extra zing. Furthermore, they use produce imported from Europe for their foods and beverages to have an exotic feel to them. Last, but not the least, they have a sumptuous bunch of vegan treats for you to not feel deprived of choice.

Read moreLocated off Hanuman Road in Vile Parle East, Garde Manger Cafe serves you amazing teas and fresh salads throughout the day. Most of their items are raw. A beautiful salad bar is right at the counter. The prep kitchen for pasta and sandwiches is in the basement.
We started off with the Strawberry and Aloe tea. Lovely fragrant tea served in a cute looking bone china kettle and cups. The teas here are amazing and are powered by Luxury Teas.
Italian Caprese - The presentation was quite different from the regular Caprese. Loved the balanced taste of the balsamic reduction.
Quinoa Beans Salad - A beautiful mix of beans, lettuce, bell peppers and quinoa served with lemon vinaigrette dressing.
Som Tam - The som tam here is quite nice. Well balanced. The salad portion is huge so go with a good appetite.
Cous cous upma - It's just a plain upma for the people who aren't familiar with trending food. So instead of rava it's replaced by cous cous. Do order this dish. It's quite light too.
Mumbai Local Salad - The regular wet Bhel gets a twist with Arugula, Cottage cheese and chickpeas. A nice blend of date and tamarind sauce making the Bhel more tasty. It comes to your table along with a jug of liquid nitrogen. It helps to keep the salad leaves cooler.
From the smoothie section we had a shot of Museli Peanut. It was nice. A perfect blend of honey, soy milk, peanut, digestive biscuits and peanuts.
Roasted Tomatoes Sandwich - Homemade multi-brand bread filled with roasted tomatoes and pesto. Loved this sandwich.
Paneer Tikka Sandwich - The best in the sandwich menu. Inhouse cottage cheese in between the breads with lots of tandoor mayo served and some lettuce spiked with salt pepper and lemon vinaigrette as a side.
Belgian Waffles - The waffles here are multigrain so it's a little better than the regular flour one. Loved the taste of this waffle. Do order this.
Overall the vibe is positive here, a big thanks to Tushar and Sunny for curating such a cool menu. The customers do love the food here.
