Gokul Vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Mumbai

We have been visiting this restaurant from past 20 years. But we-my senior citizen mother and myself, never faced an issue like this what we faced today! We reached the restaurant late around 10:30 pm, 20th May'18. Since it was late, we quickly ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Butter Roti and Butter Kulcha. When the order came, and we started eating the sabji, it was tasting as if they had just warmed it up already cooked since hours, Paneer was sour and overall it was salty. Kulcha was so thick and hard, it felt like they just re-heated it in the bhatti and gave it! Roti was fine. As we had already reached late, we didn't wanted to waste their or our time and hence continued eating. Even after being cooperative, the waiter came in, he wrapped up the other tables, except ours, which was expected. But what came in later on was totally late, "bahot late aaye na aaplog, 11 baje hotel bandh kar dete hai. Par koi nahin aaplog kahao..." As if, they are feeding us for free and he's doing us a favour by not asking us to get up as he was getting late! I could somehow managed to finish 3/4 of my thick & hard Kulcha with that stale sabji, I asked the waiter I need to talk to your manager, the waiter started arguing. Then I went to the cashier, he was the rudest of all. He was like, we don't keep the food cooked. We cook it only upon the order. I requested him so many times to come to the table and taste it for himself, but he didn't budge. Above that he's like you go to the kitchen and check it for yourself. And the waiter had so much of guts to say that, you ate everything and now pin-pointing it. Like we wanted to eat for free! Then other to people who were there started arguing, they were saying with such sarcastic tone, "aapko khana nahin pasand aaya toh paisa mat do aur jao!" As if, we are at fault! Our decency and cooperation backfires on us only! We paid them and left! DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. IF NO OTHER OPTION, THEN EAT ROADSIDE FOOD, ATLEAST THEY KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND GIVE VALUE FOR MONEY...

Average food very arrogant staff and manger . Normally in udipi hotels they don't charge for extra charni or sambhar unless it is taken in excess but here a gokul you take a small helping of charni and they will charge you 🤔 secondly they don't accept credit cards or electronic payments in today's world they deal only in cash . They serve you ,'Maida' roti whereas i guess Maida is not recommended all the other restaurants provide wheat Roti's though I'm not familiar with the restaurants rules but I guess if you order a dish and if the quantity is more than required then people generally get half of it or after having the required quantity get the rest packed . In this restaurant if you ask the waiter to do so what he will do is get you a plastic container and tell you to get it packed your selves and when asked why he does not get it packed he will reply that hotel gokul dose not do the packaging but they will do charge you for the plastic container provided for the packaging .They are not on take away services their is a lot of dust because the restaurant is on the main road and lot of road construction and development work going around against which they have not taken any steps to keep it clean . Worst hotel one can ever visit. Rude staff, zero quality food and looting customers. They will charge you for any small thing which you cannot even think. I ordered soup and the soup served was stinking and didn't had salt. I asked them to replace and later on I was charged with 2 soups and story does not even ends here. I was charged even for fried noodles that was served with soup. After opposing the owner shouts on customer and misbehave. Please avoid.

For your kind information - Fried noodles are served with the soup only. When I had returned your stinking soup they also took away the fried noodles and later only bought the soup. If you are running a restaurant, you should know what to serve with food and what to charge. Secondly, when I had ordered soup I had already mentioned to make it spicy.
