Why I have rated Hazara a five star despite it emerges from the shambles & untidy surroundings of Sion Koliwada as an oasis in a vast desert. I give following reasons for doing so,
As you enter, you meet with a Tandoor grill right on the footpath, ignore it, climb the stairs & you are into a comfortable, air conditioned area with decent seating.
The alcohol charges are value for money & you have a wide variety to choose from ( albeit don't hope for the Scotch's & wines) from the IMFL perspective.
True to it's surroundings, i e. the folklore of Sion Koliwada, you get phenomenal Tandoori, Tikka dishes, Amritsari Fish, Kebabs as well as for the veg fadists, something like a "Kadak wheat roti baked in butter with chat masala sprinkled over it, it tastes heavenly for a starter. Just try it. Also the large chickpeas( Kabuli Chana) boiled & prepared the Amritsari way, take you to the hinterlands of rural Punjab.
The main course is versatile, yet tending more towards Punjabi cuisine, fabulous in taste. Try their Chicken Hundi with Butter Roti, you might end up licking your fingers.
The service is Top Class, cordial, ever eager to serve you, humble folks, always ready for any customised dishes that you ask for.
The lighting is dim, soothing, good for a family dining experience also.
It doesn't cost a hole in your pocket for a wonderful evening spending time with you friends or loved ones.

This area is primarily a punjabi area and hence around here you will find numerous eating (street - food) options. Jalebi, samosa, sweets, gol-gappa etc, you name it and you will find it here. Hazara restaurant is like any other "bar and restaurant" in mumbai and its not female and couple friendly. JHINGA fry and RAWAS fry is highly recommended. Chicken dishes are ok. I would visit again for fish items only. Very tasty and value for money street-food. #food #superb...

The prawn koliwada was good, Prawns were fresh, the rawas was also fresh but the taste was ordinary. The green chatni again was freshly ground but lacked great taste and was not seasoned well. The chicken kalimiri tikkas were really nice and was bursting with flavours. The dal makhani was outstanding! But the chicken lassoni tadka and mutton kadai was again...
