Himalaya Restaurant — Restaurant in Mumbai

My family have been visiting this restaurant for close to four decades yes good 40 years when they only served very few snacks. Our daily milk supply for home has come from here for all these years. When this place turned into a full fledge restaurant their food was very good and service was very courteous. Whenever I'm visiting home India/Bombay. I visit this place for their kulfi which is still the great taste. But the new staff/management have an awful attitude. They wanted me to go away and get change. Stating it is not their responsibility to provide change and the guy at the payment desk almost argued with me. Ofcourse the waiters are going to pick up this attititude if the mangers speak in this manner to paying customers. They don't accept cards either. Food is fairly decent but the attitude sucks! They wont last too long with such awful attitude and so much better competition around. It used to be a good family run restaurant. Such a shame it's turned out to be like this. Save yourself the effort and insults...

Visited Himalaya Kulfi House opp Shanmukhananda Hall near King Circle today after ages. Being lockdown times, only take away option available at the moment, so packed a Butter Garlic Nan with Paneer Pasanda, Stuff Kulcha, Hundi Biryani and their famous Punjabi Lassi (which was sooo yummm, forgot to take a pic 🙈😂) Have been coming here since early 1970s and happy to say their authentic Punjabi Veg offerings are the closest to what one would get in Chandigarh or Amritsar. Nowadays maybe due to public demand, they have added Chinese dishes but rest assured this is something i personaly wont even try. Food is food when served with love

1st of all the attitude of the manager and Boss is such as if you all are beggers paying and eating..

Quality which use to be before is gone down drastically.

Kulfi faluda which use to be famous before is no longer there the quantity of rabdi seems to get wanished in couple of more days..

In service industry food should be served with love . You are what you eat the food served with such arrogance all the time ll surely inculcate the arrogance in you.. That's my pov. I have Stopped eating or ordering from this place, coz the owner him self has no ear to any complains...
