Food is good and tasty but pathetic service and miserable management... Didn't know that inviting friends over there would be such an embarrassment.....
Last Saturday night (10/3/2018) after one function we decided to go for a dinner. As we wanted to have Sea food that day every one decided to go to Gazali but one of us suggested this place 'Jai Hind' (bandra east) which was seconded by me as we both had food here earlier. We reached Jai Hind by 10:45 pm , it was little crowded. As there was waiting, Rushikesh gave his name to the person who was at the counter and dealing with waiting list. We were told to wait for 15 mins but looking at the crowd we knew that it would take 30-45 mins.. We were waiting out side the restaurant at waiting area. After half n hour at 11:15 we placed an order for starters and requested to serve it outside as our Cars were parked just opposite to the restaurant but the attendant told us to wait for 10 mins as the table for 6 ppl was getting cleared. Assuming the question was of only 10 mins we also nodded. After 10 mins to our surprise this fellow allowed another group which had arrived much after us to get into the restaurant and have a seat. We were very hungry but still didn't lose our patience and kept waiting for our turn. At 11:40 pm again another group which had come to the restaurant after us was offered a table. This time we lost our patience and asked for a clarification for doing so to which the management of this restaurant didn't hv any answer. There was totally no communication between the waiters and the manager. It was a clear lacking of management amongst the staff of this restaurant. As it was quarter to twelve they asked us to place order for main course and accordingly we placed the main course order. We were promised by them that as soon as we get the table, the starters would be served within 5 mins. Finally at around 12:10 a.m. we got a table but there was no one to attend us, forget about starters but for 10 mins even water was also not served to us. After waiting for almost one and half hour we were expecting that atleast food would be served well but that too in vain. We were directly served with our 'Thalis' which was our main course, when we asked them what happened to our starters then they rushed to Kitchen to bring the starters. It was very disappointing to hv such an experience from such restaurant who claimed to be one of the best restaurant for Sea Food. It was embarrassing for me and Rushikesh as we both had suggested this restaurant. It was really pathetic when we came to know that in the FISH THALI they served us TANDOORI ROTI instead of Chapati or Bhakri when asked about this mis-match combination they informed us that chapati, bhakri everything is over and Tandoori Roti and Naan are the only options that we were left with. We had placed an order for starters at 11:15 and main course at 11:45 but that time also we were not informed that they can't serve us Chapati and Bhakri. If they had informed us we would have changed our main course accordingly. I dont understand if such restaurants can not provide service as they claim then why to fool people... Just for Money... It was really a miserable experience of this Restaurant and feeling pity about myself and Rushikesh for suggesting this place for friends. Definitely not going to this place again.. Dr....

What we had?
Bombil Sandwich: One large Bombil (Bombay Duck) cut in middle, stuffed with prawns and shallow fried to perfection. Goes very well with chutney. Tasted so yummy and crisp. Must Try.
Prawns Fry: It was so delicious. Absolutely recommended. Approx 14-15 middle sized prawns deep fried to perfection.
Basa Tawa: Soft and delicate basa fish fillets cooked with minimal fuss and batter fried, It was so aromatic and tasted good.
Chicken Sagoti Vade: Traditional malwani style chicken curry in a yummy spicy gravy, it was very flavorful and very delicious. Really tasted well. Though Vade was bit oily but quite manageable.
Pomfret Fry Thali: This thali consists of Pomfret Fry, Pomfret Gravy along with your choice of Chapati/ Vade/ Neer Dosa. We have to make it simple, so opted chapati. Loved it. It was worth every second of the wait. Highly recommended.
Solkadhi: Delicious and very fresh sol kadhi. Amazing!!!
Overall pricing is not too expensive, super value food with generous portions. All the reasons to get hooked.
