🍂 Bayroute!! Candidly the masters of all the dining restaurants in the vicinity of Mumbai when it comes to various aspects of being a well-knowned restaurant like quality of the food, service and ambience. An exotic restaurant serving some of the city's finest Mediterranean delicacies in all its glory! Each recipe is so full of love and it really does reflects in the food here. Every dish we tried here was unique in its own way and really set the bars for the next dish that was to come.
🍂 This bayroute is one of that place which is well-known for its increase in footfall rate as the day progresses, especially during lunch hours because the crowd is predominantly the cooperate employees as its located near to many cooperate offices. So better reserve a table for yourself prior if you are about to visit here!
🍂 The restaurant has very luxurious and vibrant ambience and enthusiastic vibes, as soon as you walk in you know you're going to have a great meal. Apart from their befitting and treat to watch ambience and outstanding food, we loved their warm hospitality and attention to detail.
🍂 The restaurant adopts the classic bread-fermentation process and cooking techniques such as flat stone atop burning embers, spinning rotisserie and open fire roasted skewers that were once discovered in the lands of Middle Eastern! Restaurant further incorporates their most frequently used and savour-able ingredients such as dates, chickpea's, olives, za'atar, saffron to create a range of mouth-watering delicacies. Bayroute also offers guest a rare opportunity to savour a few hidden gems like Kibbeh, Manakeesh and even Tagine.
The star food dishes and beverages we ordered were:-
🍂 LOTUS BISCUIT:- A perfect biscoff!! It is made by blending Lotus Biscuit with Vanilla Ice cream and Milk. I thoroughly enjoyed this drink from bottom of my hearts, because the drink was super tasty and delicious and was immensely royaly-velvety in texture. As a garnish, an entire piece of lotus biscuit was placed over the drink which was actually a good thought! So refreshing beverage that I can't describe in words, you better try it out soon! " Highly Recommended"
🍂 MUSHROOM KUBBAT:- Why am I describing this??? The only reason is that, it was the only vegetarian dish that we ordered in the entire course and even being a vegetarian dish, we all totally loved the experience of having it! It consisted of three huge patties made by Iraqi potato chop which were stuffed with thyme scented quinoa and mandi mushroom and was accompanied along with aged balsamic and Sultanas relish. The relish was very unique and I have never tried it anywhere before. The main ingredient of that relish was black raisins which I really admired. Loved the overall dish wholly!
🍂 ZA'ATAR CHICKEN:- It's seems similar to a pizza but it's not! A flat bread shaped like a pizza base was served which was topped with za'atar (A spice mixture typically used as a condiment, containing the herb along with toasted sesame seeds, dried sumac and other spices), kashkaval cheese and tender chicken morsels which was marinated in Middle Eastern spice mix. The base was soft and also other ingredients were delicious. Do order this as its one of the famous delicacy in the Mediterranean cuisine.
🍂 LOTUS DRAMA:- One of the best dessert we munched on in the entire day's meal! Seriously it was daammnn amaaaaaazing!!! It comprised of fluffy cheesecake, where lotus biscuit soiled blanket was placed at the bottom and was topped up with Vanilla bean ice-cream. A portion of caramel sauce was given on side, which was drizzled over the entire dessert on the table directly to give an eye-catchy to it! Just prepossessing! There's no way you wouldn't be impressed if this comes to your table! " Highly Recommended "
🍂 Overall we had a fantabulous and positive experience dining out here. It's a great place for an elaborate family dinner as well as a fun date night. I'll immensely recommend this place to every foodie to hop on onto this Mediterranean finest delicacies culinary voyage and to...
Read moreHere is me again at Bayroute!!! My fav place in the city since last year. Visiting the last outlet of its chain at BKC Bandra. Mixed feelings though as it was the last visit experiencing best of the Middle Eastern cuisines. I’m sure the Bayroute will come up with another outlet very soon within the city….hopes are on || fingers crossed. The way it has made its prominence in the past few years is remarkable and commendable. So this outlet is located within a 15 mins drive Bandra (e) Rly Stn. I would recommend to turn on your maps and follow the route as there are multiple routes to reach the location. This time I took my BFF along with me as she had been wishing to see Bayroute from a long time.
Food:
1 Tava Karides – Midsized garlic prawns glazed in butter served along with flat parsley and veggies.
2 Musabbaha – If you are visiting Bayroute then having Humus is a must…This one is the new addition to its cold mezze section. If you had tasted the Bayroute Special Hummus then for sure you will love it has the tangy flavour which makes you die for it.
3 Maqluba – One of the oldest recipes dating back to 13th Century. This dish will surely make your world upside – down based on its name called out in Levant. Initial impression looked like a rick cake presented to us topped with pine nuts. As we deconstructed it all we could notice is tender chicken pieces, fried cauliflower. Good with appetite then go for it as it will end you full and no more room for any food.
4 Moroccan Lemon Olive Chicken – USP of this dish is the humungous chicken leg piece preserved overnight in Moroccan spices along with lemon, gala olives and portion of rice with sautéed onions. Recommended!!
5 Hamaru – Desserts at Bayroute makes you feel strolling in heaven. All of them are so unique, presentable, delicious and one of a kind. This one is a hit to their taste buds because of the choux pastry which is prepared to perfection.
Drinks:
1 Honey on Fire – As the name Honey you are fire boss……Concotion of honey, tennesse honey, coffee and the outer rim coated with chocolate powder makes this cocktail sweet and tipsy at the same time.
2 Salted Caramel Baklava Sheikh – For a moment be a sheikh and drink Baklava Sheikh at Bayroute thank me later but the texture of this mocktail is outstanding. Flavoured with Caramel and garnished with nuts.
3 Matcha Jalapeno Foam – Newest entry to their unique cocktail collection. Matcha is crushed green tea leaves FYI….Concoction of tequila, organic matcha, Egyptian fiery jalapenos and matcha foam makes it strong and tipsy. Worth to try!!
Ambience – BKC bayroute is more about comfortable seating comprising of comfy sofas, high rise chair at the bar section, private section and seating for pax of 4, 6….. Walls are painted white and our most loved hot air balloons stealing the show near the bar section. Seating’s around the glass walls I liked the most as you could enjoy the afternoon with some shade of sunlight and greenery spread across the maker city complex.
Service – Bayroute is also known for its impeccable service by their humble attendants. They are well acknowledged with the exhaustive cuisines and cocktails. Our attendant Shri Ram took great care of my dishes. As and when I needed him he was there on his toes.
