Tucked away in Thakur Village, Kandivali East, The King's Field Restaurant is a hidden gem that promises to delight your taste buds. We visited this place tonight and all the dishes were mouth - watering that had a blend of flavors and textures.

The culinary journey began with the Cream of Chicken Soup, which was rich and velvety. The Thai Chicken Ball Soup was a refreshing surprise, with its clear broth infused with lemongrass and a delightful kick of spice.

The Stuffed Bombil with Prawns was a unique twist on the classic Bombay duck. The prawns stuffed inside were succulent and flavorful, but the batter-fried bombil could have been crisper. Nonetheless, it was a promising start.

For appetizer enthusiasts, the Stuffed Tangdi Kebab is a must-try. The chicken leg, generously stuffed with minced chicken, cheese, and cream, was a masterclass in texture and flavor.

Moving on to the main course, the Chicken Ghee Roast was satisfying, however lacking the distinct flavor of ghee. However, the dish was expertly cooked and enjoyable.

The Mutton Stew was an outstanding highlight, featuring tender boneless mutton pieces in a rich, flavorful broth. Paired with Appam and Malabari Parotta, it made for a comforting and satisfying combination.

Last but not least, the Prawn Columbo impressed with its tangy prawn gravy, perfectly complemented by the Appam.

Verdict: The King's Field Restaurant offers an impressive culinary experience, with dishes that showcase creativity and flavor. While minor tweaks are needed, the restaurant's strengths far outweigh its weaknesses. Whether you're in the mood for seafood, meat, or something in between, this restaurant is sure to delight.

Here's the exciting part: their commitment to authenticity extends beyond sourcing – they create their own signature masalas and boast a team of in-house chefs with expertise in various cuisines.

In drinks we had, Orange blossom: This drink was sweet and refreshing. Solkadi: Very regional and packs a punch. Highly recommended!

Taw Fried Fish: We dove into the Surmai Tawa Fry, where the perfectly cooked fish explodes with flavor thanks to their special masala. A touch spicy, but oh-so-satisfying!

Chicken Rozali Kebab: This succulent, stuffed chicken kebab is a must-try. Packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, it's a true crowd-pleaser.

Chicken Vindaloo: Craving a Goan escape? The King's Field delivers! Their Chicken Vindaloo boasts an authentic gravy, perfectly paired with fluffy Amboli for a complete and delicious experience.

Watalappam: For a sweet ending, we ventured beyond Indian borders and savored the Watalappam, a traditional Sri Lankan dessert with a delightful sweetness. Highly recommended!

Kings Field in Thakur Village offers a memorable dining experience with its cozy, homely ambience and the personal attention provided by the owners, who are always ready with perfect menu suggestions. We started with their veg spring rolls, which were crispy, flavorful, and a great introduction to the meal. The stuffed mushrooms in Hunan sauce were simply outstanding—flawlessly prepared and full of flavor.

For mains, the Cafreal Chicken, with its tangy, smoky, herbaceous marinade, and the fiery Chicken 65, coated in a vibrant, spicy batter, were both standout dishes. We also loved the rich, aromatic Chicken Bali Bali, infused with mild coconut and spices.

For dessert, we initially wanted caramel custard but since it was unavailable we tried both Watalappam and Dodol as suggested by owner. But listening to his suggestion was best decision.
