Kitchen Garden BKC — Restaurant in Mumbai

Average food, absolutely the worst service. For a party of 7, the servers gave: 4 sets of forks and knives, 5 table mats, 4 coffee stirring spoons, exactly 1 satchet of suger for each (on asking for more, they declared they are out of sugar and brought 2 satchet worth of jaggery in a cup), and 5 glasses of water! The outdoor seating was dusty despite Sunday brunch time and on asking, the server half-heartedly wiped exactly half of it before declaring they will bring table mats, which they brought only a few of. The sandwiches that were supposed to be grilled were left ungrilled and upon requesting, were dumped in an oven making them burnt, brittle and inedible.

Never ever seen team this apathetic and disinterested in serving customers, and there were repeated request and grumbling from most of the tables. And this is during their peak hours! Complete waste of money and awful breakfast experience.

I spent 2 hours at Kitchen Garden BKC (Maker Maxity) today at lunch. This place has been a popular joint to do meetings in BKC for me. Also, for context, I eat less than average (2 rotis for lunch) and I already had a sumptuous breakfast.

I ordered a granola bowl thinking it would be filling enough for a light meal. For ₹470, I was surprised to get a dessert size 'bowl' which literally can't be anyone's full meal. Then, I ordered a half-avocado toast, assuming a) half of a big piece of bread and b) perhaps full toast (₹750) would be 2 slices. What I received was a piece of bread smaller than top half of a vada pav! Even after spending ₹850 on a meal, never have I ever felt so hungry at 6 pm. I feel I've been cheated.

I have no particular problem with their pricing (which has always been higher than others) but I am unsure why are they resorting to portion control in such...

Reminds me of Sweetgreen (popular salad place I love, in some parts of the US) if anyone is familiar with it. Kitchen Garden has some really great food that not only tastes good but is refreshingly healthy and different as well. Ingredients are fresh, preparation is great and the staff are warm and friendly. I really like coming here for work lunches. Additionally, if anyone cares to know, Kitchen Garden is by Suzzette, so you can totally expect that level of service and food as well as the comfy, trendy vibe. If you're not into typical healthy salad-y food, this may not be your place.
