I came across this restaurant from my sister, who got influenced with their Instagram reels. It is on main road near to famous masala market (few meters from Khamkar Spices & Martand misal). It has 3 restaurants on same road but at some distance. We had no planned to visit here, actually we came at shital store for malasa's but for lunch we thought to give a try based on hype. It's a very small cozy place around 6-8 tables only. No WC only wash basin. Long waiting such as 1-2hour for all outlets. Atleast they kept chairs outside for waiting which is good. Ambience was good with nice atmosphere. I couldn't find hanging boat which i have seen on some other photos, maybe it was at different outlet. Their waiters was wearing "Traditional Sadra" which was good. I liked menu cover page it had traditional Maharashtrian "Nathani" attached to it. (Refer my attached photos). Menu was limited. Rate was over-priced atleast 30-40% more than any other sea-food restaurants (refer menu pic attached). Now let's come to taste(my fav part), So we tried four thali's. As i only eat chicken i ordered Kombadi wade with chicken gravy. They do not serve special chicken thali here. My sister tried overpriced "Halwa Thali", she given 3 star out of 5. My father tried "Mutton Thali" he said Mutton was overcooked but spices was good so again 3 stars. My mother tried "Prawns thali" she also said it just ok so again 3 star. Solkadhi was authentic. You also get Sukha Jawla with fish thali. Apart from thalis we tried "Kolambi(prawns) Thecha which seems famous here & was normal spicy so all people can eat & "Fried Bombil" which was nice & within 1 minute we finished. But they didn't served chutneys with fish starters. Dressing for non thali dishes was impressive. To conclude on taste, for me chicken kombdi vade was not having boneless pieces & it had more pieces which i don't eat. I will rate 1 star as i did not liked taste at all. My mom makes 100 times better. Also all dishes was not at all extra-ordinary like rates they added. It's so costly to be frank. Those people who loving this place is just based on ambience & dressing & who never being foodie but just come based on YouTube, Insta reels. For taste, I will not recommend this place. I have no problem with high rates but atleast give justice to taste & quantity? Lastly, there was one lady maybe owner or manager who came with card machine & she asked me, "sir do you want to add tip". I was surprised. So far not a single restaurant asked me add tip. I generally gives cash even after paying through card but i did not liked such ask by that lady. Don't be so greedy focus on your taste & growth instead. These days it becomes so easy with paid influencers & food bloggers to become famous so these restaurant becomes greedy sooner or later. I will remove 3 stars for flop hype, nonsense rates & average taste & that lady's ask at last. Bill came around 2950 for 4 person so around 750pp which is not normal to be honest for average taste. Wish...
Read moreTo be honest. This hotel is overrated because of the reels/shorts. I almost waited for an hour, and after that, they sent us to a different place(here they usually manage Home delivery. 2-minute distance from the actual hotel). The table that they provided us was too small and you couldn't even seat properly, I was also carrying my office bag so I requested the staff give us a different table (at that time there were two tables available) but they simply rejected our request by saying "No those tables are for four peoples" (each table capacity was 4 people) and after 5 min they gave both the tables for two different couples.
About the food experience: I ordered Prawns Fry (the taste was good, prawns size was also big and nice). After that, I ordered Prawns Thali (Note: you will not get prawns fry as part of thali and the staff also honestly communicated same to us). In that thali the only dish related to prawns was prawns masala there was no other dish related to it. Apart from that there were two fish curries (I did not like the taste personally), suka javala, 2 bhakari, rice and solkadhi. Prawns Fry and Prawns Thali costs us a total of ₹991. If you are paying such amount then you will expect a minimum of two dishes in thali from the main category in my case it was prawns. Writing this review so that the management can take this in a good way and make some improvements. First thing just remove that small table completely.
Read moreLet's start with the food. The prawns thali, pompfret thali, and surmai thali were all cooked to perfection. The seafood was fresh, juicy, and had just the right amount of spices, making them flavorful and delicious. The portions were generous, and the sides that accompanied the thalis were also well-prepared, including the rice, dal, and vegetables. The bombil fry, which is a popular seafood delicacy in the region, was crispy and perfectly seasoned, making it an excellent appetizer to start with.
