On our most recent visit, we were met with a level of service that was nothing short of appalling. A simple request to remove the service charge prior to payment through Zomato was met with a barrage of inexplicable excuses. The waitstaff and manager offered a farcical explanation, insisting that the charge could only be removed if payment was made by card or cash. When we demanded a rational justification, they preposterously claimed that the Zomato terms and conditions supported their stance. However, a cursory examination of the aforementioned terms revealed that they explicitly disclaimed any involvement in tax-related matters. Upon confronting the manager with this discrepancy, they resorted to a new tactic, asserting that the policy was mandated by management. Our persistent disagreement prompted them to demand our contact details to be inscribed on the original bill, ostensibly for record-keeping purposes. Despite our willingness to express appreciation for the staff's efforts through a gratuity, their behavior was utterly reprehensible.
