Kalidas Masala Vada Pav, Mulund. Anna visited Mulund Khau galli today afternoon. Curlytales' iconic Video capturing the entire Mulund Khau galli, made him aware about this street food junction. Mulund Khau galli is not as big as you think. Yet, genuinely small things remain the most magnificent. Located near Kalidas Natya mandir, this place is known for its Famous Masala Vada Pav. Beside this, is a stall that makes nearly 50 varieties of Dosas. The Video initially captures Making of, Masala Dosa, followed by piping hot Masala Vada Pav, and Jini Dosa (Highly Recommended) - visit @thehungerhormone on instagram for video. Cost - Masala Vada Pav - ₹25 Jini Dosa - ₹150 There's another stall, that makes affordable Fresh Juice and Milkshakes. Amongst them, is Oreo Milkshake, which is quite fetching. The masala vadapav is definitely over priced. The taste of it is good but it's just lasun, lasun, lasun (Lasun is garlic). I understand that they've a monopoly in this thing and is an innovative thing. But the price isn't a lucrative one. If you're visiting nearby, do try it once. But coming here specially for this,(unless you're making a video) isn't a good idea. However you can come on a food spree and visit this place and Mulund station khau galli . The Akshay Chinese in the back is definitely a cheap(in terms of money) option for having Chinese food. The best quality cannot be ascertained by me, but it's a decent one. It’s a busy place and serves all kind of street food - Chaat, Dosas, Frankies, Pav Bhaji, Chinese and Juice/Milkshakes. The service is fast and the staff is polite. But the main things, taste of food and hygiene, are pathetic. We ordered pav bhaji dosa and noodles cheese dosa. In the pav bhaji dosa, the dosa was burnt and bhaji stuffing was tasteless as it didn’t have the salt or the spices. The panipuri we had was horrible. We also had the brownie milkshake which tasted bland. Not recommended.

This is the most famous street food in Mulund. The stall is located just outside Kalidas Hall. We tried their best seller Masala Vadapav, which kinda tasted okok. You wouldn’t like the taste if you’re a Die hard Vadapav lover. And the cost was ₹27 which is extremely costly for just one vadapav. If you add cheese, then the prices goes till ₹50. Also, the vada wasn’t hot. Inform them to heat the vada & paav well. It’s a good place if you stay nearby, not worth travelling from far place.

Such a unique vada pav experience!! Absolutely loved the vada and the masala is also very yummy. My wife preferred to eat the regular vada pav just because it's less messy and that was equally good. Their pav is too good! So soft and light. We also tried the samosa here, they put peanuts in the samosa masala which brings out an extra crunch. Price: 30₹ Pro tip: Ask for vada on the side instead of in the pav. It is much easier to eat that way plus less soggy :)

Being a foodie i always keep searching for new things to try. When I was visiting mulund i came to know about the famous masala vada pav. The combination sounded really great and visited there. And ordered the famous masala vada pav. The look was great but that's all. The dish didn't taste good in a single aspect. The masala had no flavour and the vada pav was served cold. Being famous effects the place and this is an example of the same
