Miniya Turk – Andheri West, Veera Desai area is an honest, successful attempt to to create a mini Turkish fine dinning restaurant in the most happening area. It is located on the first floor of Crescent Royale complex. They serve Mediterranean, Italian beverages, appetisers, mains and desserts.🇹🇷 The first floor welcomes you with the generous use of painted and carved glasses depicting Ottoman designs and culture. Once in, the decor with huge, multiple, beautiful hanging chandeliers, carved roof, wall paintings, beautiful crockery and lavish seatings mesmerises you. The kitchen is open so that you can see through the glass panes, the hygienic condition in which your food is processed. The whole ambience along with the dressed up services makes you feel as if you are in a Turkey’s fine dining restaurant. The food quality was best in class and the services were too quick. 🎯

We tried: Mock tails: ♦️Dates Colada: It is one of the healthy Turkish drink packed with nutritional values. It contained dry fruits, dates, pineapple, kiwi juice with vanilla ice cream. ♦️Melon Cooler: Ideal refreshing drink to chill out with friends. It was the mixture of cut pieces of fresh water melon, basil leaves & soda .

Appetisers: ♦️Med Sample (platter): The platter was large enough for two. It was served with hummus, edamame, tabbouleh, labneh, muhammara and baba ganoush with falafel and pita bread. It was extremely presentable and luscious. The hummus was creamy and oozing with rich umami flavours. The dip melted in our mouth consistently. ♦️ Lamb Patti Kebab: Minced lamb meat, onion and chef special spices were mixed uniformly and skewered. It was served on the base of pita bread and garnished with potato steak & salad. It was delicious.

Main Course: ♦️ Turkish Lamb Armico: The gravy with rustic taste smacked our taste buds. The stew was hearty and filling and gave mouth delight. Slow cooked lamb mutton was served with spiced pilaf.

Dessert: ♦️Dry Fruit Vermicelli Kunafa: Kunafa is a traditional Middle East dessert made with kataifi, soaked in attar, layered with cheese and clotted with pistachio, nuts and cream in the center. Then sweetened milk was poured on it. It was yummiest.

We were welcomed by Mr. Richard, Mr. Vivek and served by Mr. Ajit. Mr. Vivek briefly explained us the growing popularity of Turkish and Lebanese food. All were highly knowledgeable, polite, courteous. They helped us in selecting the right dishes to suit our taste buds.

A must visit place for all the healthy, authentic Mediterranean food lovers to celebrate and...

Miniya Turk, a Turkish experience in Mumbai that you must not miss. I have recently been to Istanbul and I must say I am impressed by how this restaurant has tried to capture the essence of Turkey not only by the environment, but also the food and every ingredient and experience you would see in a Turkish restaurant.

On entering the restaurant, we were welcomed by men in a traditional Turk-Arab inspired attire. After the greetings, we were asked about our food choices and were handed over different colored plates and glasses according to whether we eat vegetarian or non vegetarian food. Then we were served with a loaf of fresh, slightly sumac spiced bread with Olive oil and Vinegar, just like the Turks do it.

Food Recommended- Veg: Med Sampler, Sebzile Pide Non veg: Shish Tawook

The food was served on time. We ordered the restaurant's recommended Med sampler, which is a platter of Mediterranean dips, served with Tabbouleh, Pita bread and Falafels. This was a very large and filling platter. The dips were Hummus, Labeneh, Edamame hummus, Baba ghnunoush and two more dips that I have tried for the first time. Each dip was fresh and uniquely delicious. But the highlight for me were the excellently made falafels. absolutely loved them. The tabbouleh was also very well made. Second, I had ordered a Sebzile Pide, which is a Turkish flat bread Pizza. This was perfect and made just like the Authentic Pide I have had in Istanbul, fresh, crisp and delicious. My friends had a Shish tawook, which is a Chicken kebab, that came with pita bread, a small portion of salad and AMAZING fries at the side. I didn't try this one, but my friends loved it. The plate was wiped cleaned in seconds. The Veg Tawook was also good. But I didn't absolutely love it. At the end of the meal, we were served some Turkish coffee and dates, served in Authentic Turkish coffee cups. This was surely a delight.

Only cons: The location was hard to find, as it wasn't mentioned it's on the first floor on google maps. We reached at the back entrance, where it was nowhere mentioned that the restaurant is in this building. We were seating at the last corner seat. There was a scent diffuser on the top which caused discomfort in our eyes. So avoid sitting at that seat.

But over-all, the service was very good and the pricing is great for the food and restaurant experience provided. It is very difficult to find such authentic food.

Over all a great experience. Will be visiting...

It's is a Casual Dining restaurant that brings different flavours from different places here at Miniya Turk. Its a place where you can enjoy varieties of food. This place is so cool. It had a great Ambience and the Music played will make you relax and enjoy. Here at Minia Turk they are taking full precautions that has to be taken during pandemic situation. Staff is supportive. Server Mitu, Sukanta and Siddhesh were helpful. They seemed happy while serving. They have a open kitchen and everything was clean. Chef Ajit and Chef Ranjit prepared delicious food that was tasty and presentable.

We started of with some Mocktails

  1. Dates Colada - It was smooth refreshing drink and healthy. It was topped with Date(khajoor). Its presentation was good.

  2. Ferrero Rocher Milkshake - It is ideally loved by kids as well as adults. It turned out to be lucious and irresistible.

Starters.

  1. Soya Istanbul Sis Kebab - kebabs prepared from soya were very soft and full of flavours with a bit spiciness in it.

  2. Med Sampler - It's a huge platter of Hummus. A Middle Eastern dish. There were 6 different varieties of Hummus served with salad Falafel and Pita Breads. All the 6 varieties of hummus had different flavours and all of them were delicious.

Main Course.

  1. Alfredo Pasta - I love pasta, white sauce pasta is my favourite and hence we ordered this. It was yummy and cheesy with some veggies served with crispy garlic bread. I was so good to have this pasta at Miniya Turk.

  2. Risotto Ai Funghi - a North Italian Rice dish cooked with vegetable broth had a creamy consistency and a great taste to enjoy as a meal.

Its said that any Meal is incomplete without dessert and since Miniya Turk is known for its Dessert we were happy ending our Dinner with some Mouthwatering desserts .....

  1. Double Layer Chocolate Mousse - Its chocolaty and creamy dessert served with some Vanilla Icecream. If you like Chocolate then you must have try this dessert.

  2. Tiramusi - Its a creamy dessert prepared with some coffee and had wine in it. The taste of coffee in dessert was yummy.

  3. Baklava - Most popular Turkish origin dessert baklawa is a layered pastry dessert made with filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or honey. It was plated with dates and its a must try dessert.

Overall it was a very good experience at Miniya Turk enjoying their speciality Drinks, Food and...
