Nityanand Restaurant - Pure Veg — Restaurant in Mumbai

I had brought my labours for a lunch...I experienced discrimination...they provided paper glass to all of us where every other table with family n all had kanch ka glass...I don't recommend having jain food here...I had cheeze jain pav bhaji and it was very dry...very poor service (again discrimination) when asked for water instead of serving it in glasses the guy just kept the jug on table..I asked him to pour but he went away pretending he didn't listen...the jain sandwich I took for parcel has extra charges for being made jain...in jain they just have to put cucumber and tomato so there are less vegitable but for that they take more money...what nonsense...we eat jain food because Jainism teaches ahimsa and these guys charges extra for practicing ahimsa ...very poor service had to ask them to turn on AC on our table while other table...

Improved ambience as compared to how it has been since many many years. Earlier, there were not many restaurants in this area and personnel from offices in the region had no alternate choices. Now there is at least one more good restaurant close-by and now it boils down to allegiance.

Having said that, the owner is very cordial and adds to their strength as he greets each visitor whenever he is around. And now the service too has improved. Food quality is much better. All in all, a good family place now.

Update in Jan'23 - They have split the restaurant and created a separate AC restaurant called Curry Leaf which is non-veg. They have also started a sweet shop on the outside which is facing the road. So now they have an AC and non-AC area for veg (called Nityanand) and an AC non-veg restaurant (called Curry Leaf).

Okay!! So this Nityanand restaurant is highly highly recommended for one here at Kalina Santacruz East!!! I had here my lunch.. I had ordered cheese pav bhaji and chicken crispy!! Both of these dishes were superb!!! Especially the chicken crispy highly highly recommended!! And for vegetarian option cheese pav bhaji highly recommended!! Pav bhaji was very very tastyyy!! One thing is that nityanand restaurant has both options available veg as well as non veg!! And ofcourse the dishes here are just superb!! Ambience wise too good and simple!! I also had here matka kulfi as in dessert!! They have both AC as well as NON AC seating!! Price are pretty reasonable here!! Overall 10/10 highly recommended to visit this restaurant once if you in Kalina!! I am surely going to visit this...
