We visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon with the main intention of trying their Nalli Nihari, but to our disappointment, we were told that Nalli Nihari finishes fast on Saturdays and Sundays (around 10 am)||||We were then left with very few options as the menu of this restaurant is very limited. We ordered two pieces of Shami Kebab (it’s sold by piece), only one was served. We had to wait for the second piece for quite a long, and in spite of the long wait, what we got is a doughy textured kebab which was not as good as the first one. A usual excuse was offered that it is fresh from the tawa hence the texture. Though the taste was good, I did not like the texture much. I think this fast moving item here is little overhyped.||||We then ordered Mutton Paya and Chicken Sanjoo Baba (the so called recipe of Sanjay Dutt). Both the dishes were distinct in taste and satisfying. Chicken Sanju baba was little sweet, but the spices (khada masala) used in this dish were very tasty. It makes me think that this dish was cooked in ghee because after 10 minutes, the gravy got frozen and turned itself into lumps. So finish it fast as soon as it us served (and try to sit on the ground floor non AC section to avoid this)||||The tandoori rotis served were very excellent and tasty too (also large in size)||||As the portion size was little small for the main course, we ordered one more Mutton Chop (or Chaap?). I didn’t know that this item would come with gravy. This dish was so awesome and nicely spiced that it satisfied all our taste buds.||||The finale was done with caramel custard and rabdi. Both the dessert items were exceptionally good (but again small in portion size). The rabdi was served in earthern pot (matka) which enhanced the taste and experience ||||The total cost of this treat was Rs. 650 (for two persons) which was damn cheap by any standards. ||||The ambiance is not so good, though we sat in the Air-conditioned section on the mezzanine floor. In fact, it gave us a stinking smell of drainage as soon as we entered. As pointed out by some other reviewer, this hotel should pay more attention to the hygiene and cleanliness (even it comes at a little extra cost)||||The rating of 4/5 has been given only on the basis of the...
