Here’s a full review in your signature tone, covering the Torii experience:

Torii, Bandra – Big on Vibe, Big on Bill, Bigger on Taste
When your group of diners ranges from sushi scholars to soy sauce dabblers, you need a place that checks all boxes. Torii in Bandra came highly recommended—and spoiler alert—it almost lives up to the hype, and then some.
Let’s start from the outside: that black-and-white arched entrance with the gold-lettered TORII feels like you’re about to enter a movie set. Inside, the vibe is unmistakably plush—with mirrored ceilings, retro lampshades, opulent seating, and music that doesn’t scream at you but keeps the energy flowing. It’s where Japanese zen meets Mumbai glam.
The Meal We were 7. The table bill read ₹45,999, so yes, about ₹6.5K per head after taxes and service, but here’s what made it feel worth it: • Cold Young Coconut Carpaccio – Sounds fancy and tasted the part. Light, tropical, and a perfect start. • Miso Black Cod – Showstopper dish. Silky, melt-in-mouth. It’s what black cod dreams are made of. • Chicken Chilli Oil & Lemongrass Chicken Tsukune – Packed flavour bombs. The chilli oil was a standout. • Cold Prawns Tempura Maki – Crisp, clean, and a hit with everyone at the table. • Twilight Tingles (mocktail) – Refreshing and not sugary, a tough balance to nail. • Torii X-mess Sundae – The name may be cheeky, but this dessert brought childlike joy with its waffle castle presentation. The kind of ending you photograph before devouring.
Service Smooth, attentive, and non-intrusive. Our server knew the menu well and paced the meal right. That’s half the job done in high-end dining.
What Could Be Better? Not much honestly. A couple of small hits and misses on portion sizes (looking at you, gyoza), but hey, we weren’t here for the quantity. The bill might jolt you for a second, but by the end of the night, you’ll justify it to yourself with, “Well, the black cod made up for it.”
My final two bit
Paise gaye, par taste ban gaya.
Aide dessert pe toh calories bhi selfie mangti hai.
📍 Final Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A strong 5 stars for a place that brings together design, service, and standout dishes under one gilded roof. For special dinners, date nights, or flex-worthy Instagram reels, Torii...

MUMBAI HAS MANY OTHER SUPERB FINE DINING RESTAURANTS THAT WILL GIVE YOU A BETTER EXPERIENCE.
I spent Rs 40k on a dinner with my family, and the food was good.
The service is worse than third class though.
THE SERVICE MANAGER (dude in the black suit) NEEDS TO BE FIRED, OR ELSE THIS PLACE WILL EARN THE TITLE OF BEING THE WORST RESTAURANT IN MUMBAI.
My experienced list of service complaints as follows:
Menu can barely be read, and no server assisted my family with the order. I had to call them repeatedly to get them to take the order.
Cocktails showed up 1 by 1 and by the time I got my cocktail, 3-4 people in my family had already finished theirs. We didn't even get to do a cheers together.
I received a chipped glass and my lip got cut because of the chipped glass. It was bleeding for a bit, and this is unacceptable for ANY restaurant, whether fine dining or not.
TORI IS NOT A FINE DINING SPOT. THERE ARE MANY BETTER ONES IN MUMBAI.
Servers did not ask my family members for a repeat on the cocktails. The service manager (black suit guy), is super rude and thinks he's too rich to serve the guests.
Servers have to be told everything, amd their training levels are severely under par for a fine dining experience.
After replacing my chipped glass, they still charged for an extra cocktail. Basic restaurant service would ideally demand that the replacement for chipped glass is not be charged.
Our servers name was Vaibhav. He too had quite a bit of attitude, but I could throw away enough money to bring down his attitude level.
In conclusion, I DONT AND I WONT RECOMMEND TORI TO ANYONE.
Save yourself the trouble of trying out this place just because it's owned by some celebrity. You can go to many other fine dining spots in Mumbai where at the very least, you will be treated...
Read moreThe highlight of my meal at Torii, Mumbai? The Cold Dirty Maki Roll. Hands down, the best sushi I’ve ever had. Fresh tuna, salmon, and hamachi, all topped with luxurious truffle mayo. Every bite was a perfect balance of fresh, creamy, and indulgent. Truly a showstopper.
The Spicy Chicken Gyoza was another level of delicious. Crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, with the perfect amount of spice to make your taste buds dance.
Let’s talk about the Burnt Garlic Fried Rice. The garlic was so fragrant, rich, and just the right amount of char. Paired with the Chicken Chili Oil, it was the ideal combo — not too dry, not too wet, just perfect.
And to finish it all off, the Sherry Mon Cheri Mocktail was sweet, refreshing, and the perfect complement to all those bold flavors.
But what really sets Torii apart isn’t just the food. The architecture is pure perfection. The design strikes an amazing balance between sleek modernity and subtle Asian influences. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by elegant, clean lines and ambient lighting that creates a serene, almost zen-like atmosphere. It’s the kind of space that invites you to relax and immerse yourself in the experience . The attention to detail in every corner of the restaurant, from the soft, glowing lighting to the beautiful, minimalist decor, truly makes dining here feel like an experience for all your senses.
Huge thanks to Hemali and Lummi for their incredible service . They really made the day even more special. If you’re in Mumbai, this place is a MUST. You’ll be dreaming about the Cold Dirty Maki Roll and the stunning architecture long after you...
