Opa! Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in Mumbai

Happened to visit this stunning place yesterday. Have already heard a lot about this place and it’s surely worth visiting. A Luxurious place to visit for a party. Spend your time here with their unique combination.

“OPA BAR AND CAFE” is a stunning place to visit with friends to have lip-smacking dishes. Perfect place for the Weekend. Located at Andheri East, can be easily accessible. The place serves various cuisines right from Lebanese and Mediterranean along with continental. The menu consists of various options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Apart from this they also have a luscious range of cocktails and mocktails.

The Ambience looks luxurious, the grand gate at the entrance looks stylish. Comfortable seating arrangement available. The place is spacious, the bar counter looks amazing. Hospitality was well taken care of, especially since Mr Nakul has done a brilliant job.

WE HAD THE FOLLOWING

COCKTAILS

1)THE MUMMY’S CURSE- We kicked off with a spectacular cocktail. A combination of Vodka, Gin, white rum, triple sec, tequila blended with blue curacao and strawberry. Blended to perfection and it tasted luscious. The combination was delightful to have. A powered cocktail to try out, the presentation was excellent.

2)BOURBON MERRY- Another classic cocktail to try out, bourbon with pineapple juice and passion fruit with rosemary. Blended to perfection and it tasted well. Not too sweet tasted perfect. The combination was delightful to have. The presentation was on point.

STARTERS

1)HARISSA & BBQ CHICKEN WINGS- Tender and juicy chicken wings cooked in harissa and barbecue sauce. It tasted scrumptious, the combination was delightful to have. Flavourful taste with sufficient quantity. The presentation was excellent.

2)SHISH TAOUK- This is a sure a must-try dish for non-vegetarians. Tender chicken kebabs marinated to perfection. The chicken was cooked in a clay pot oven. This dish is originated from Lebanon. It tasted delicious, these chicken pieces were served with pita. The combination went well and the presentation was excellent.

3)BBQ CHICKEN BURGER- One of the best burgers I’ve had recently. Perfectly grilled chicken burger, grilled patty and Yellow.cheddar served in a black bun with veggies. It tasted scrumptious, the combination was delightful to have. Fries were served with burgers. The chicken was tender and juicy. The presentation was excellent. Heaven for non-vegetarians.

MAIN COURSE

1)ROSEMARY & GARLIC CHICKEN - Something new to try out, tender and juicy chicken grilled to perfection and marinated well. Tasted delicious and was served with veggies. The nice juicy chicken tasted well with veggies. The presentation was excellent. The quantity was sufficient.

DESSERT

1)CHOCOLATE ESPRESSO FUDGE- A heaven for chocolate lovers, coffee flavoured pastry served with chocolate mousse. Tasted delicious, the combination was delightful to have it. Coffee with chocolate mousse and the presentation was excellent. It was the perfect way to end a happy meal.

Overall had an amazing experience at this place. All the sustenances that I attempted were extremely scrumptious. The presentation was excellent. I would surely recommend this place. One can surely enjoy this place by leaving the stress behind. I would be back here again to try out other options as well.

Visiting this place after many recommendations from my friends was a must. Located right near the Saki Naka metro station inside the Grand Peninsula Hotel, this place is a hotspot for nightlife enthusiasts in Mumbai.

Ambience: Being located on the top floor, the dome like ceiling with clear glass panes gives it a majestic appearance. The restaurant offers two large seating areas and an appealing ambience that evokes an Mediterranean atmosphere - vintage style seating, palm trees with drapes flowing from their branches and good music to set the mood.

Lets have a look at the food we ordered.

Beverages: 1.Red Bull LIIT: We started our evening with this classic LIIT. A concoction of 5 base spirits namely Vodka, Gin, White Rum, Triple Se & Tequila topped with Red Bull for the extra kick. 2.Blood on the Roof Top: Another LIIT with the same 5 base spirits but with an add-on of peach flavor and a dash of red wine for that strong bitter note.

Appetizers: 1.Harissa and BBQ Chicken Wings: These Chicken Wings were a great way to start our meal. Tender cooked chicken wings were tossed in a sweet sticky BBQ sauce with a hint of spice from the harissa. 2.Iranian Joojeh Kebab: Richly marinated chicken chunks spiced with saffron and seasoned with other spices are roasted to perfection to give you that tasty, mouthwatering experience.

Mains: 1.Chicken Kabsa Rice: Slow cooked Chicken meat served on a bed of fragrant Saffron Rice with side of Daqoos (i.e Traditional tomato garlic sauce), Labneh (i.e a soft Middle Eastern cheese made from strained yogurt ), some salad, lime & pickle. Chicken was tender, flavorful and went very well with rice. I highly recommend it. 2.Hot Mezze Platter: This was like the show stopper. This platter was loaded with 3 different types of kebabs namely Shish Taouk (i.e. a traditional Middle Eastern marinated chicken dish), Zaatar Chicken (i.e. Chicken dish marinated with Za'atar the condiment king of Middle Eastern cuisine) and Adana Kebab (i.e. a long, hand-minced lamb meat kebab mounted on a wide iron skewer and grilled on an open Lebanese griller filled with burning charcoal). Along with the Kebabs you a pool of hummus driled with olive oil, Pita Bread, Falafel, Fries, Salad, Pickled Veggies and Thoom (i.e. Traditional Arabic Garlic Sauce). There's enough meat and veggies here to last your dinner party for a long time.

Dessert: 1.Baklava: A Mediterranean meal would not be complete without this dish. It is a traditional layered pastry dessert made of filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts, and sweetened with syrup. It was served with a scoop of rose ice-cream which went really well with it. Just the perfect way to end our meal.

The food was really good and this place proved to be a meat lover's paradise. The staff was extremely courteous and helped us with the choices. Overall, this is our take on @OPA: •Service:5/5 •Ambience: 5/5 •Flavor: 5/5 •Value for Money: 5/5

The ambience was all pumped up by the time we finished our dinner, making it seem like the night had only just begun. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Whether you are visiting for a party or not, you'll have an amazing time.

OPA! BAR & CAFE 🧡 LOCATION - This resto bar is at 7th floor of Peninsula Grand Hotel near Sakinaka metro station. Its a casual dining bar and cafe serving Lebanese, Continental, Mediterranean and Arabic Cuisine.

AMBIENCE- Ambience is pretty Beautiful and Asthetic with spacious space and super comfortable seating , palm trees, fountain, lamps. The whole Ambience has Royal Arabian vibes with dim lights and lovely decor. They have bar section. The entrance is classic and the whole space is elegant.

STAFF & SERVICE- The service staff is well mannered, super kind, friendly and courteous. The receptionist is friendly and helpful and the one looking after our table was attentive too. They maintained the calm environment with prompt service and ensured our best dining experience. They have Live sports with amazing song selection. Totally Satisfied with the service.

FOOD- No doubt the food is perfect in taste, quality as well as quantity. Each dish we ordered was up to the mark and had its own authenticity and we truely liked everything that we ordered.

OUR ORDERS- We visited during the lunch time and ordered the following-

BEVERAGES- BLUE BREEZE - A cool blend of litchi, Blue Curacao and sparkling lime. Had a vibrant blue colour and refreshing sweet litchi flavour. Accompanied well with the food we ordered. MOJITO - Mojito is always the epitome of refreshing mocktails stripped down to just the bare essentials of lime juice, sugar, soda water, and mint. It was perfect and refreshing. STARTERS- HARISSA BBQ PANEER - Smoked cottage cheese marinated with Harissa and bbq sauce served with grilled chilly, salad and Bbq sauce. The juicy Paneer is a delight and its super fulfilling. Also loved how beautifully it was presented.

FATTOUSH SALAD - Vegetables, Lettuce, Feta Cheese and crispy pita tossed in Italian dressing. The taste is really good all together. Obviously its an healthy option too. Goes well along with mocktails.

MAIN COURSE- VEG BURGER - This burger looks truely appetizing and fulfilling. Basically its a Crusty deep fried vegetable patty served in a black bean burger bun along with fries, salsa and salad. Its worth a try since the patty is well cooked and full of deliciousness. VEG KABSA RICE - This rice serves 2 to 3 people. Its an Arabic dish cooked with vegetables in arabic spices served with saffron rice, yoghurt and pickle. Its super flavorful and the amount of spices in it gives it a slight refreshing mild spicy taste.

DESSERTS - Chocolate Expresso Fudge - This fudge is too good. You really cant miss out on this dessert if you visit here. Its a Flourless Pastry flavored with coffee and served with white chocolate mousse. Has a melt in mouth chocolaty texture. Loveeed it.

Overall it was an awesome experience. The staff is generous and friendly. Its moreof a night club and a bar place where you can chill with friends along with drinks and sheesha.They followed all the safety protocols and social distancing.
