I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hotel Pancharatna in Marine Lines, Mumbai, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, the welcoming ambiance and attentive staff set the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the delectable food served at Hotel Pancharatna. I had the pleasure of indulging in some of the most mouthwatering dishes that left me craving for more. One dish that truly stood out was the Paneer Tikka Masala. The succulent pieces of paneer were perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection in a rich and flavorful tomato-based gravy. Each bite was a burst of aromatic spices and a harmony of textures that left me thoroughly satisfied.
Accompanying the Paneer Tikka Masala were the traditional Indian staples of Roti, Dal Tadka, and Jeera Rice. The Roti was freshly made and had a soft and chewy texture, complementing the robust flavors of the main dish. The Dal Tadka was a comforting lentil curry, seasoned with a blend of spices that brought a delightful warmth to the palate. The Jeera Rice, cooked to perfection with fragrant cumin seeds, was the perfect companion to tie the meal together.
Not only did the food at Hotel Pancharatna impress with its taste, but the presentation was also impeccable. Each dish was elegantly presented, showcasing the attention to detail and care put into the culinary creations. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that every guest was satisfied with their meal.
The service at Hotel Pancharatna was top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable and comfortable. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance.
In conclusion, Hotel Pancharatna in Marine Lines, Mumbai, is a haven for food lovers seeking an extraordinary culinary experience. The Paneer Tikka Masala, along with the assortment of accompaniments, left a lasting impression on my taste buds. The impeccable service and welcoming atmosphere added to the overall charm of the restaurant. I highly recommend visiting Hotel Pancharatna for an unforgettable dining experience that will undoubtedly tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting to...
Read moreExtensive menu with a range from North and West Indian food, to Oriental food. The restaurant looks unpresumptious, but they have several USPs: a digital menu that has over 300 items. Their starters are divided into 8 categories!
Then there are main courses, the Indian bread sub-menu, rice and noodles, mocktails, vegetarian food, and lots more. In fact, we didn't even venture into the innards, where they have a proper bar!
The next USP is their amazingly fast and courteous service. The states arrived in 5 minutes! We had Rajasthani Veg Tikki and Chicken croquettes. The person who took the order knew about every single dish we asked him about (Satish), while the person who waited on us (Santosh) was charming and polite and eager to serve.
The third USP is the good itself. It was creative, well cooked, with generous portions and delicious to eat. We got so engrossed in eating, we forgot to take many photos! For the main course, we had a prawn Malvani curry and Paneer Bhatti (the paneer was charcoal-grilled before being cooked with onions, tomatoes, spring onions and celery).
The mocktails were superb too. We, each, had a different one, naturally. Every one of these was great.
For dessert, we ordered gulab-jamun. That was the only "average" item on our purchases.
I strongly recommend this place. Thank you, everyone. I was told the owners are from South Karnataka. A picture hanging on the wall showed the deceased person to be a Shetty. Bless his soul.
P.S. The locality is not the best, but the trip is worth it! They also deliver and do takeouts.
P.P.S. They also do burgers, pizza, nachos, salads, tacos, and so...
Read moreThis restaurant is right behind the Sassanian. Easy to locate and near to Marine Lines station. Food: We ordered Soup & Sizzlers here.🍵🍱
Spicy Grilled Fish Sizzler :🍽️ . You can select either Pomfret or Basa, we selected Basa. The fish served was a large fish cut into two pieces, was marinated and grilled nicely. It was served with rice, fries and a lot of veggies. Veggies and rice had mild flavors but the fish had some really spicy and strong flavors. So it was balanced. Overall a good dish!
Vietnamese curry soup :🥘 This was spicy and coconutty. Chef's spl. curried with herbs stirred in coconut milk. Flavoured with Lime and chilly flakes.
Service :
Service was good and quick. The restaurant is usually crowded on weekends.
Ambience: Good for fine dining. Family friendly. They have 3 different sections. One is close to the bar, the second one is cozy with sofas & the third one is right next to the entrance They serve alcohol in all the sections.
Conclusion: Overall Nice and pocket-friendly place.
Fun Facts: Vietnamese people consume the largest number of instant noodle🍝🍜 in Asia, even more than Japan - the home country of this processed food.
