It's an average place , perfect for one to hang out with friends without spending much.. Once u enter in here u may find this place to be a bit shady n u will find plenty of smokers smoking in outdoor section.. However if one doesn't like smoking then place urselves comfortably inside ac section which though is bit cramped but is way better than outdoor section n it also has decent seatings.. There is one huge screen placed outside n also few lcds inside where one can enjoy watching live sports.. Best thing about this place is pricing.. Drinks are reasonable n food is decent good n quantity is generous.. We started here with drinks n popcorn.. Popcorn were fresh, light flavourful n crunchy.. We also had Paneer sholay kabab n it was delicious.. Paneer was very soft n marinated very well with spices n was grilled perfectly.. We also had cheese chill kabab n it too was decent .. Stuffed with cheese I expected this dish to be bit on spicy side but it was not.. Best in starters was Paneer cheese kabab... Slices of succulent Paneer cubes are filled with melted cheese n veggies .. Melting cheese created a lip smacking taste which made this dish special .. As said earlier quantities of all starters was good.. We ended our meal with jeera rice, which had good flavour to it but was bit more oily to my liking, n Dal takda which was absolutely delicious.. Quantity of both was good for 3 people.. Service was nice.. Staff were courteous .. Overall a decent average place to hang out with friends .. Don't expect much in terms of decor n you won't be disappointed being here

Read moreMy biggest problem with places offering those fancy offers and cheap beers is the expensive food. Even a simple plate of nachos is over Rs. 250. And at the end of it when the bill shows up, the cheap beer is not worth the visit. But the Quarter Pillar doesn't promise you anything like that. This place a perfect blend of a typical shady Mumbai bar and a fancy pub. Their menu has a decent variety of food which is affordable and the traditional "chakna" dishes like boiled eggs, chaan with chopped onions and other stuff blends in with the rest of the food. That's their USP. The alcohol is affordable and reasonably priced. It's a perfect place for when one wants to have that extra beer or "one more for the road" (don't drink and drive!) . The food is delicious and the burnt garlic fried rice with the manchurian gravy is something worth a try. Unlike lot of places where Chinese food (the Indianised Chinese I mean) is unnecessarily spicey, the food at Quarter Pillar is mild and comes with a decent quantity.
For the sake of argument one could say that perhaps they have less variety as far as beer is concerned, but this place is perfect if you are looking for a decent place with a limited budget. The staff is attentive and well behaved. Above all, the thing that impressed me the most is that they don't sneak in any service charge and tips are added on the debit/credit card machine while paying the bill. Hassle free! Quarter Pillar is one place where you don't have to worry about "what to order to eat" since this place is stacked with all your...
Read moreWalkable distance from both Bawa International and Orchid. I visited Quarter pillar with a friend for a quick drink on a week day evening. Being in Mumbai, I must have imagined on how conservatively the land space would've been used. I did not expect an entire pub in such small place.
We seated outdoors even though it was hot outside, as the seats inside in the AC room were all occupied.
Started off with Bira White pitcher, which was really good and crisp - unfortunately, quite expensive it was; followed by Bira Blonde which wasn't that great.
For snacks, we had Channa masala chat, Chakli, and my friend had a Chilly Chicken. Both the Vegetarian chaknas were really good especially the Channa chat, it was really tasty with freshly chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies and perfect amounts of Lemon and Black salt.
Loved the evening here, which we ended up with three LIITs each. Long Island iced tea wasn't strong at all and...
