I recently stayed at Hotel Avion from the 5th to the 7th of this month, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite booking a room with a larger bed, I was informed upon arrival that it was not available, and I was given a twin bed instead. This was already a letdown, but unfortunately, it was just the beginning of my disappointments.
The quality of the room left much to be desired. The blankets felt cheap and unclean, which significantly impacted the overall comfort of my stay. On the last day, I decided to order breakfast before leaving, a simple toast and tea. However, the delivery took an unexpectedly long 40 minutes, and to my dismay, I found an ant crawling on the dish when it finally arrived. In a rush, I had to leave and decided to bring this issue to the reception's attention.
My encounter with Derek at the reception was particularly unpleasant. Despite explaining the situation and my dissatisfaction, he insisted that I pay the invoice, claiming it couldn't be canceled. The lack of empathy and understanding from the staff, especially in a service-oriented industry like hospitality, was disheartening. Derek's demeanor was rude, and it seemed as though the concept of customer service was lost on him.
Moreover, when I mentioned my intention to write a review about my experience, Derek showed no concern or willingness to address the issue. Instead of offering an apology, he suggested that I go ahead and write the review if that's how I felt. This lack of accountability only added to the overall negative impression of the hotel's customer service.
In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Avion was marred by a series of disappointments, from the room quality to the breakfast service, and ultimately, the unprofessional behavior of the reception staff. I expected more from a hotel that claims to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience. Unfortunately, my encounter with Derek and the overall service has left me with a strong sense of dissatisfaction. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements for future guests.

Read moreOne of the worse property in Mumbai that looks business from religious prospective and biasness. × on guest prospective, they literally loots their clients eg. If someone wants to have cocktail party, they say 14k is one day license & 05k is corkage charges. Total 19k and liquor is from your side (I mean, from client side). But irony is, despite paying 19k + your own liquor cost. They hardly allow to open bar till 10pm. After that bar completely shut. That means, before anyone taking a glass of drinks for 1st round. And starters hardly circulated for 02 rounds, after that nothing is available in the kitchen. So badly and poorly maintained kitchen. × there's a guy called Fernandes, he is super biased and hypocrite on the light of Christian and other religion. He says if Hindu clients, bill is fully taxable. Menu price +18% gst (he feels Hindu can be government officers and therefore may have come to spy). But if catholic clients, depending on his mood, 50% or more bill non- taxable. And bills are printed in Microsoft word. They don't have billing software. (Simply they cheat government too). if any manager takes a booking and have decided to give one extra pinch of salt which is not on the menu package, better go and take approval from Via madam, who is an owner of the property. Else manager will be kickoff from his job immediately and party booking will not...
