1441 Pizzeria Vile Parle — Restaurant in Mumbai

I recently visited 1441 Pizzeria with a few friends, and while we were hoping for a great pizza experience, it unfortunately fell short of expectations. First off, the place is quite tiny, which is understandable for a cozy pizzeria, but the issue was with the overall temperature inside. Although the air conditioning was on, it still felt uncomfortably warm. In a city where summers can be harsh, a properly functioning AC is crucial for a pleasant dining experience.

The cleanliness of the restaurant was a bigger concern. While we were midway through our meal, a baby cockroach crawled across the table. This is the last thing you'd want to encounter while eating, and it certainly raised red flags about the hygiene standards. A cockroach on the table doesn’t inspire much confidence in the cleanliness of the kitchen, and it left us feeling quite uneasy about the food we were consuming.

To make matters worse, we were inconvenienced by the staff during our meal. They asked us to vacate the table for around 4 minutes because they needed to take some items out from under the sofa where we were seated. While we understand that unexpected situations can arise, this disrupted our meal and didn’t contribute to a smooth dining experience.

Coming to the food, we ordered the Veggie Delight pizza, and unfortunately, it was far from delightful. The 8-inch pizza felt severely overpriced, with barely any cheese and very few toppings. For the price we were paying, we expected a lot more in terms of both quality and quantity. A pizza should have a generous amount of toppings and cheese to justify its price, but this one fell flat. The crust was decent, but that was the only redeeming factor.

We also tried the Smokey Cheese Dough Balls, which were incredibly disappointing. They were perhaps the worst dough balls we’ve ever had. There was barely any dough, and instead of tasting like fresh, smoky cheese, they tasted like processed slice cheese that lacked any smoky flavor. Again, these were overpriced for what was served, and none of us enjoyed them.

The one dish that stood out positively was the Alfredo Pasta. It was creamy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. If not for this dish, the experience might have been entirely forgettable. The Alfredo Pasta was truly the saving grace of the meal, and we were grateful that at least something lived up to our expectations.

Another small but noticeable issue was the service of water. In most restaurants, water is promptly provided as soon as you're seated. However, we had to specifically request water after we had already paid the bill. This might seem like a small detail, but it added to the overall lack of attentiveness from the staff.

In summary, while 1441 Pizzeria has potential, it seriously needs to address its hygiene, service, and value for money. The Alfredo Pasta was excellent, but the rest of the experience, from the food to the cleanliness, left a lot to be desired. I hope they improve these aspects, as a well-rounded experience could make this...

We were on the hunt for a good pizza place and, having heard great things about this restaurant, decided to give it a try. Located conveniently close to Vile Parle station, it’s easy to reach and great in terms of connectivity. Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance—cozy, comfortable, and ideal for enjoying a pizza meal. The seating arrangement was perfect, lighting was warm, and the air conditioning provided just the right level of comfort from the Mumbai heat.

We kicked things off with Smokey Cheese Dough Balls and a Berry Blast mocktail. The cheese dough balls were simply divine—loaded with soft, melted cheese and a hint of garlic, served with a cream cheese and jalapeno dip that took the flavors to the next level. The outer crust was soft and perfectly baked. The Berry Blast mocktail was refreshing, with a sweet, vibrant berry flavor, and chilled enough to make it a perfect summer drink.

For the main course, we customized a Paneer Tikka Pizza with corn, paneer, and tomatoes for topping, opting for a cheese burst thick crust. The 11-inch pizza was hands down the best we’ve had in a long time! The base was super soft, and the cheese burst filling was absolutely delightful. The pizza was generously topped with flavorful chunks of paneer tikka, sweet corn, and tomatoes, perfectly balanced with a layer of mozzarella cheese and sauces. It was truly a delectable combination!

Next, we tried the Cheese Burst Calzone, which was bursting with liquid cheese and stuffed with jalapenos, corn, and black olives. Each bite was a cheesy delight, with the soft crust complementing the gooey filling perfectly. We finished our meal with the much-talked-about Nutella Dough Balls, which exceeded our expectations. These soft dough balls filled with rich Nutella and served with an extra Nutella dip were simply heavenly, with a thin outer layer that allowed the chocolate to shine through. The presentation was impressive and showed the restaurant’s attention to detail.

A special shoutout to the in-house manager, Mr. Loyola, who personally checked in on each table to ensure everything was perfect. His attention to customer satisfaction is something you don’t often see, and it added a personal touch to the experience. Overall, this was one of the best pizza experiences we've had, even surpassing some other 1441 outlets. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy spot with top-notch service and...

I must say that they served a very fresh Chicken gourment Pizza just the way I like it,,,,, I loved the concept of D-I-Y Pizza here where you have amazing options to choose 3 sauces & out of which I chose 2 Sauces - Italian Sauce & Mama's Sauce..... I am a Cheese fan so I chose to add all 3 different cheese flavours like - 1441 special cheese, Shredded cheese & Smoked cheese... We can choose to add - upto 28 toppings which is any way too much to choose for, from the best Vege options that you like... My chicken government Pizza was thin crust and overloaded with lot of different veggies like my favourite Red Paprika, Jalapenos, Onion, fresh Paneer tikka, zucchini, Chicken Tikka, Roasted Chicken, broccoli, red paprika, garlic. Red,yellow & green capsicum.

2. Cheese Burst Calzone - I also ordered one of the best seller dish I.e. the cheese Burst Calzone and the cheese was melting in my mouth with every bite, amazing combination of cheese bread and small small add Jalapeno pieces in sided and my most favourite was the masala that was stopped on the Calzone it was so yummy that I was just licking my fingers after every bite due to the yummy liquid cheese inside it

3. Pepper passion Pizza - the base was hand tossed and thin crust & it had my customized toppings like Paneer Tikka and amazing & great Indian flavours and it was super cheesy, it was colourful, delicious and tempting.
