A Pleasant Dining Experience at Ratnagiri Restaurant, Chembur. This establishment provides a wonderful combination of tasty cuisine, a comfortable atmosphere, and friendly service, making it a notable dining choice in the area.
One of the highlights of Ratnagiri is its culinary offerings. The menu features a variety of dishes, primarily focusing on coastal cuisine. Each dish I tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The seafood, in particular, was fresh and cooked to perfection, capturing the essence of traditional coastal recipes. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring good value for the money spent.
The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming and relaxed. The decor is simple yet elegant, creating a pleasant environment suitable for both casual dining and special occasions. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant is commendable.
Service at Ratnagiri was noteworthy. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient in their service. They had a good understanding of the menu and were able to provide helpful recommendations. Their promptness in attending to customers added to the positive dining experience.
The bar section of the restaurant deserves a special mention. It offers a good selection of drinks, and the bartenders are skilled in crafting cocktails that complement the meal nicely.
While the overall experience at Ratnagiri was very positive, the restaurant could enhance its ambiance by incorporating more thematic decor to reflect the coastal cuisine it specializes in. Additionally, expanding the vegetarian options on the menu could cater to a wider range of preferences.
In conclusion, Ratnagiri Bar and Restaurant in Chembur is a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious coastal cuisine in a comfortable and welcoming setting. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere makes it a commendable dining...
Read moreWent to Ratnagiri Restaurant in Chembur and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant. We told the waiter very politely that we don’t eat much and asked if two thalis would be too much for two girls. Instead of giving us any kind of useful suggestion, he just shrugged and said, “Depends on how much you eat.” Super unhelpful from the start.
We clearly said we wanted gravy in one thali and semi-gravy in the other — and what he gave us was just thick, pasty, almost-solid chicken gravy. It was literally inedible.
The thali had: • One small bowl of rice • FOUR rotis (we specifically told him we don’t eat roti and asked for extra rice instead — he refused and said we have to take what’s in the thali) • A chicken gravy so thick you could use it as cement • A prawns bhaji (why on earth is there prawn in a chicken thali? We don’t eat seafood — that’s exactly why we ordered chicken.) • Another bhaji that smelled stale and spoiled — we couldn’t even eat it.
There was no dal, no balance, just dry items and thick gravy. I straight up asked him, “How are we supposed to eat rice with this kind of gravy and no actual curry?” And he had the audacity to say we need to pay extra for any proper gravy. Only after I got visibly frustrated did he agree to bring some without charging.
The entire vibe of the place is super shady, not at all comfortable, especially for two women dining in.
To top it all off, the taste was awful. That same night, we both had food poisoning and needed hospital treatment. Imagine paying for food that ends up sending you to the ER.
Wouldn’t recommend this place even to my worst enemy. Zero stars if that...
Read moreHad a horrible experience. I have been a regular customer here. The food is not that great. I only come here as it is near to the railway station. But one day seeing that me and my friend were intoxinated by drink they just inflated the bill saying we ordered more, when actually we didn't and as a matter of fact we just consumed very less. Since the amount charged extra was less and we give tip to the waiter more than that.We thought as an act of decency not to argue anymore as we were in hurry and didn't wanted to create a scene and thought in pur mind that we will consider as it we had given a tip. But they were not ready to admit their mistake, and afterwards when we paid the full bill, at the time of leaving the restaurant one of the guy was passing comments on us and taunting us saying we don't remember anything we didn't wanted to pay so arguing. That was when we felt, these guys dont give damn about customers and they just want to ripoff the customers of their money. We didn't wanted to create a big scene over there. So gave that waitor a small angry pep talk and left. But there would be many like us who would be ripped off like this. Everyone who are visiting this restaurant should cross check the bill thoroughly. And an advice to management, ask your employees to behave properly to customers. This is not the way to treat your customers and making fun of customer's will not do any...
