Vaishali Garden restaurant located near busy bylanes of Chembur East opposite the local railway station is a fine dining restaurant that serves North Indian, Mangalorean and Chinese cuisines. The restaurant is almost four decades old property and the place shows the age. Located on the first floor, there's an outdoor and a indoor seating area with two small party halls for get-togethers and functions. The out door area used to host live ghazal nights with candle light set up tables. The restaurant is known for good sea food fare. I have been to this place many times in the past but lately their food quality seems to be getting deteriorated. Recently, during a meet up with friends last month, we decided to dine here as they had the outdoor seating which we felt was much safer during the ongoing pandemic that's raging everywhere. The place was moderately crowded initially, but then the weekend crowd started to pour in as the night went by. The tables and seating were set up in the usual manner with no social distancing norms being followed. Most of the servers were wearing masks but the captain and manager were seen wearing mask below their face. This still followed despite of constant reminding from our side. Food was another disappointment! Ordered Murg Kali Miri kabab which was undercooked, hara bhara kabab was oily and veg triple rice was bland. Considering the kind of prices the management is charging, the food was a very average affair. Moreover, the safety protocols not being followed was the worst part of this nigh out. The management needs to adhere seriously to the safety protocols and train their staffs well for the benefit of patrons as well as their own staffs. Pandemic is not the time to fiddle around just for purely...

Vaishali Garden Restaurant has its strengths and areas for improvement. Here's my feedback:

Positives:

Spacious Ambiance: The restaurant offers a spacious dining area, making it suitable for gatherings and groups. The open layout provides a comfortable and relaxed dining atmosphere.

Variety of Cuisine: Vaishali Garden Restaurant typically offers a variety of cuisine options, catering to different tastes. Whether you're in the mood for North Indian, South Indian, or Chinese dishes, you can find something on the menu.

Areas for Improvement:

Service: The service at Vaishali Garden Restaurant was inconsistent during my visit. While some staff members were attentive and courteous, others seemed overwhelmed and less responsive. Improved training and consistency in service would enhance the dining experience.

Food Quality: While the restaurant offers a variety of dishes, the food quality was somewhat inconsistent. Some dishes were tasty, while others were underwhelming in terms of flavor and presentation. Consistency in food preparation is essential for a more enjoyable dining experience.

Ambiance: While the restaurant is spacious, the overall ambiance and decor could be improved to create a more inviting and aesthetically pleasing environment. Upgrading the interior design and maintaining cleanliness can enhance the overall dining experience.

In summary, Vaishali Garden Restaurant has the potential to offer a more satisfying dining experience with improvements in service consistency, food quality, and ambiance. While my visit was decent, I believe there is room for enhancement to provide a more memorable dining experience...

Vaishali Garden Restaurant is conveniently located near Chembur Station. While the streets can feel quite crowded, the valet parking service is a great solution. The restaurant is situated on the first floor, which might be a concern for elderly visitors, but thankfully, there is a lift available.

The ambience is inviting both inside and outside. Being a garden restaurant, it offers an open terrace seating option, while the indoor area has a cozy atmosphere, making it ideal for any season. The aroma of spices as we entered heightened our appetite.

We began our meal with the welcome munchies,,, boiled peanuts, which were a nice touch. For starters, we ordered chicken tikka and paneer tikka, both of which were flavorful. Since we opted for a Chinese theme for the evening, we followed up with noodles, fried rice, and dry Manchurian gravy. Despite the restaurant being jam-packed, with people even waiting outside, the service was impressively prompt.

The quality of the food was excellent, and the service deserves full marks. While Vaishali Garden Restaurant falls into the premium category and might seem a bit pricey, it’s worth every penny. We made sure to reserve our table in advance for 8:30 PM, which ensured a seamless dining experience.

I’m sharing a photo of a clock crafted on the backside of a kadhai,…a unique and artistic touch that adds to the charm...

We were greeted by Mr Harish Singh & Mr Rohit Singh. Upon looking at the menu, we didnt find any vegan section. Harish Singh was very well aware about who and what vegans are compared to other restaurants where they dont even have any idea. We prefer animal cruelty free food. It doesnt contain any animal or products derived from Animals like milk and milk products, honey etc. Mr Harish suggested few dishes which he then made sure with the chef that it didnt had any ghee or paneer products. We had 1. Masala Papad 2. Lemon grass Soup 3. Mushroom Chilly 4. Spring Rolls 5. Diwani Handi (Not sure) Mr Prabhakar Shetty, the Owner has maintained the property very well. It is not the first time im coming to this restaurant but from last 3 decades. Earlier we use to have meat but from the time we left meat we didnt come to the restaurant as it is famous for NON VEG food more. But after being vegan, still the restaurant did a pretty good job. Many thanks to Mr Harish and Rohit. Prabhakar ji, if you are reading this please add 2-3 Vegan dishes in every section since many of us after checking the menu do not opt to go these places and a demand has been created if you check the market. Hence requesting you to please add some vegan dishes as we would like to enjoy the ambiance of this heritage hotel.

We went for dinner on weekday Apr 2024 and restaurant was almost empty near the roof area. It had multiple sections such as Roof Open space with candle light, AC section, Party hall. We had to approach security guard standing near to our table to call the waiter as they took more than 5 min for the service staff to come and provide the water and menu card. All the restaurant waiters and staff were busy watching IPL match. Thus, service was not good we observed at start only. We ordered fresh lime soda which was bit ok. Starters we had Chicken Jalandari Kebab which was good in taste. Main course we had Butter Naan & chicken Afghani which came in red thick gravy and was yummy too. Thus, if service could have been better then it might be excellent dine out experience for us. Note: Parking space is bit issue as it is located near Chembur Station which is usually crowded and no parking on road side.
