Vaishali Garden restaurant located near busy bylanes of Chembur East opposite the local railway station is a fine dining restaurant that serves North Indian, Mangalorean and Chinese cuisines. The restaurant is almost four decades old property and the place shows the age. Located on the first floor, there's an outdoor and a indoor seating area with two small party halls for get-togethers and functions. The out door area used to host live ghazal nights with candle light set up tables. The restaurant is known for good sea food fare. I have been to this place many times in the past but lately their food quality seems to be getting deteriorated. Recently, during a meet up with friends last month, we decided to dine here as they had the outdoor seating which we felt was much safer during the ongoing pandemic that's raging everywhere. The place was moderately crowded initially, but then the weekend crowd started to pour in as the night went by. The tables and seating were set up in the usual manner with no social distancing norms being followed. Most of the servers were wearing masks but the captain and manager were seen wearing mask below their face. This still followed despite of constant reminding from our side. Food was another disappointment! Ordered Murg Kali Miri kabab which was undercooked, hara bhara kabab was oily and veg triple rice was bland. Considering the kind of prices the management is charging, the food was a very average affair. Moreover, the safety protocols not being followed was the worst part of this nigh out. The management needs to adhere seriously to the safety protocols and train their staffs well for the benefit of patrons as well as their own staffs. Pandemic is not the time to fiddle around just for purely...

Read moreVaishali Garden Restaurant is conveniently located near Chembur Station. While the streets can feel quite crowded, the valet parking service is a great solution. The restaurant is situated on the first floor, which might be a concern for elderly visitors, but thankfully, there is a lift available.
The ambience is inviting both inside and outside. Being a garden restaurant, it offers an open terrace seating option, while the indoor area has a cozy atmosphere, making it ideal for any season. The aroma of spices as we entered heightened our appetite.
We began our meal with the welcome munchies,,, boiled peanuts, which were a nice touch. For starters, we ordered chicken tikka and paneer tikka, both of which were flavorful. Since we opted for a Chinese theme for the evening, we followed up with noodles, fried rice, and dry Manchurian gravy. Despite the restaurant being jam-packed, with people even waiting outside, the service was impressively prompt.
The quality of the food was excellent, and the service deserves full marks. While Vaishali Garden Restaurant falls into the premium category and might seem a bit pricey, it’s worth every penny. We made sure to reserve our table in advance for 8:30 PM, which ensured a seamless dining experience.
