In the midst of this 'chic tea houses revolution' happening all over Mumbai at present, this is a significant candidate from Vile Parle East, which sure deserves a mention. One winning point for this establishment is its location - only a few meters away from the college twins (Sathaye + Dahanukar). I'm only assuming that during the day the place must be flooded with college-going teenagers. But I have always gone there in the late evenings, so my observation is different. Ambiance is very attractive. Not too stuffed with artifacts or furniture. Seating, although not ample, is also not too stuffy, and thanks to that the customers get a good sense of space & privacy. They also have a couple of table outdoors on the porch, which one can enjoy on cooler evenings. The range of tea products is not too extensive - just about enough to give multiple options for repeat customers. Most recommended here are: ginger tea, pudina tea and traditional tea (their version of masala tea). They serve these in cute little kettles and (optionally) also in a 'kulhad'. Surprisingly (unlike many other tea houses) their food offerings are also awesome. Most recommended: their 'handvo', crispy cheese balls and samosas. Once I hesitantly ordered 'pohey' and to my surprise it was really fabulous, freshly prepared. Now, about the pricing: of course it's not a cheap joint. For an afternoon tea + snack, be prepared to shell out approx. Rs. 120-150 per head. But then, for the laptop-wielding YUPPIE customer, who otherwise turns his nose at the 10-Rupees wala cutting wala chai shops, this could be an affordable option with great chai + food in air...

We ordered:- 🔸Ginger Pudina Chai- It was served in the small little kettle and 2 kulhads to pour the chai in. Chai was kadak and tasty☕ It remained hot for a long time and sugar was given separately to add as per taste👍 🔸Samose- 2 Samose in a plate was the serving. Size was not very big but the taste was good😋 The quantum of stuffing was good enough and the crisp of the cover was awesome👍 🔸Tandoori Paneer Sandwich- 2 Sandwiches cut into 4 parts was all stuffed with variety of fresh veggies like cabbage, onion etc.marinated in the mayonnaise🤤and the sliced tandoored, tasty and soft paneer pieces added a different flavour to it. The bread was grilled until it's crispy and we loved it❤️ Sachets of tomato ketchup were also given with it. 🔸Mocha Cold Coffee- This was served in a paper cup. Very lipsmacking and perfectly cold🤎 It was creamy and tasty beverage to definitely try once done eating the snacks😋. It's quantity was also good.

Read moreBeen to this beautiful place yesterday for some quick munchies. Talking about the ambience and decor it's very nicely done and feels super comforting. The chairs are comfortable if you are planning to work on your laptop alongside munching their amazing spread of food. They mainly serves some awesome chai and iced teas. The food options are limited but whatever is present it's just so good. We had tandoori paneer sandwich , spicy cheese bun maska and veggie fingers. The sandwich was too good and went amazing with chai. Spicy cheese bun maska is something you shouldn't miss as it's superb. Veggie fingers are a great one too if you prefer something deep fried. We gave a try to thier signature ginger pudina chai which was served in kulhad and the taste was super duper refreshing. The fine blend of spices and the aroma were coming well together. Blueberry rose iced tea is something they had totally nailed. It had dried rose petals too which had great color and aroma. Lastly we were keen to try their cold coffees hence we gave a try to hazelnut flavored cold coffee which was slightly bitter however it was just perfect and hazelnut flavor was on point.
If you are on a hunt for a good and peaceful place to munch on then definitely this should be your go...
