And of course food gives energy so we decided to start our day with good lavish breakfast in The Burrow Cafe, But we gone through disappointment while having breakfast there our whole day is spoiled. The biggest turn off was the baked beans, it was spoiled totally spoiled… the girl who was serving us we informed her. She confirmed with her chef but her chef told her the baked beans was perfect… Although she took our plate inside to change but it was again the same spoiled taste….. By the time she changed our plate the breakfast had already become cold & the ginger tea was literally so bad that it left a bad aftertaste as if it was kept on boiling for long time…. They charge such a huge amount for totally serving stale & spoiled food. The sausages were so hard & chewy that we had to parcel it with us. It was so bad that when we given it to the road side dog to eat even they refused to eat it…. It’s not like we visited this place first time, we had breakfast earlier here long time back and we were mind blown with the service & hospitality. But with the change time everything changes. To the owner of this place I have just one thing to say that when you change your staff or Chef & as you recruit new people, you should understand recruiting is not just filling the position, but to find a wise person who can share your vision make you and...

The quality of the food has decreased a lot since we were here last. That's a bit disappointing because once upon a time the food was pretty good.

We (group of 4) came here early one Saturday evening and the place was relatively empty. There were 3 - 4 tables occupied apart from us. We ordered a Cuban Sandwich, Aglio Olio, Jabberwocky Steak and Chicken Burger along with a few drinks. The drinks were fine. Except that one of the drinks weren't available and they didn't bother to inform us about it. They "forgot", which is understandable. Sometimes people forget things. I just wished they had used their notepads to take down the order. This, and other issues, could have been avoided. The food on the other hand was a complete mess.

Firstly, we gave the order to two different people. None of who bothered to write it down. The fries accompanying the meal were stale. It tasted like it was refried. The Cuban Sandwich, which is supposed to have nice slices of pork was just cuts of pork fat. Couldn't even finish that dish. The Aglio Olio tasted like Masala Oats. I'm not kidding or exagerating. It was a massive let down. The Chicken Burger had to go back twice. Once because they gave us a Chicken Fried Burger instead. And the second time because they forgot to add cheese. The Jabberwocky Steak was tough and dry but not as bad as the rest.

Also, they have a rule where patrons are not allowed to play board games at the table. Weird rule but just something I thought needed mentioning in case you have...

I was introduced to this quaint little place by my girlfriend who has been a frequent patron for the last few years which is exactly why we most often end up here and spend quality time indulging in the good food and drink on offer. It is a place that a lot of individuals visit for the ambiance, who sit here, have meetings, work out of there. But there are some irregularities and shortcomings that the owners need to work on to avoid regular patrons from facing inconveniences.

On 14 Jun 2022, after receiving the bill, my girlfriend chose to pay via GPay. The transaction was successful, but it did not reflect in the owners phone but the owner kept stressing to clear the payment. My girlfriend tried to reason with the owner but the owner just would not understand. We cleared the bill and walked away. The issue here was not about the money but more about ruining the experience at the end of it all.

The staff here is definitely not trained or equipped to handle such situations. They are extremely aloof and occasionally get you the wrong the order which they decline to take back and ask you to cancel it for which you are eventually billed.

Of all the time we have spent here, this one incident which could have been handled professionally has left us disappointed and has made me change my previous review of 4 stars to 2 stars.
