Disappointing Culinary Experience at Food Town, Ghatkopar West
My recent visit to Food Town in Ghatkopar West was unfortunately a letdown, with a significant disparity between the price and the quality of the food. Having ordered four different dishes, I found each to be either unappetizing or poorly executed, making for a truly disappointing meal.
The Assorted Garlic Bread was an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. The addition of green chilies rendered it virtually inedible, completely overpowering the traditional garlic flavor and making it impossible to enjoy. This unconventional ingredient choice was a definite misstep.
Next, the Cream Cheese Sushi fell short of expectations. While not offensive, it lacked any discernible creamy or cheesy notes, resulting in a rather bland and forgettable experience. It tasted simply "okay," which at an average price of ₹400 per dish, is far from satisfactory.
The Mango Cheesecake was perhaps the most disappointing item. It seemed far from fresh, with a remarkably hard surface and a texture that was anything but soft. It felt stale and lacked the melt-in-your-mouth quality one expects from a cheesecake. I would strongly advise opting for a dedicated cake shop for this dessert in the future.
Finally, the Paneer Chilli Bao had a decent flavor profile, but its structural integrity was severely lacking. The stuffing would spill out with every bite, making it a messy and inconvenient dish to eat. While the taste was good, the poor execution detracted significantly from the overall experience.
Beyond the food, the service also left much to be desired. The staff seemed unprofessional and lacked basic knowledge about the ingredients used in the dishes, which is concerning for any food establishment. Furthermore, this particular branch's refusal to accept Zomato or Swiggy Dineout payments, despite other Food Town branches doing so, is an inexplicable inconvenience for customers.
Considering that each dish averaged around ₹400, the overall value for money was extremely poor. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Food Town Ghatkopar West and suggest diners seek out other establishments for a more satisfying...
Read moreAlways, I've very warm and genuine experience at Food Town. Been to their other outlets and they have recently opened in Ghatkopar and I had to check this one out! Such a beautiful ambience and along with good food, I loved being here. Menus are huge and have a lot to choose from. Recently they have added few more options on the menu. Sushi, Bao and few options here and there. The service is right on spot with the staff striving to give all from their side.
We ate a lot here and coming to food I'd post few recommendations. We started off with Thai Fondue and Babycorn Tempura Sushi. Our mains for the day were Oriental Sizzler and Pink Tango Pasta. To sip on something along we opted for Bali Beach and Strawberry Oreo Milkshake. Finally ending up with Blueberry Cheesecake and Dragon Freakshake.
Thai Fondue: Definitely go for this one, as it tastes delicious. Saute Veggies, Bread and fries served with Thai curry based cheese fondue.❤️
Babycorn Tempura Sushi: Babycorn, Avacado and Cheese based sushi mixture rolled in Nori sheets and served along with Wasabi and veggies. Tasted yumm!
Pink Tango Pasta: Our regular pink sauce pasta with the perfect amount of tanginess. Liked the Food Town version of this Pasta!
Strawberry Oreo Milkshake: Never tried it before and didn't wanted to, was insisted by friend to order it and he made the right choice it was indeed yumm!
Blueberry Cheesecake and Dragon Freakshake: Our regular Blueberry Cheesecake but this one is Food Town yumm version. And Dragon Freakshake, utterly the best freakshake I've had, not just aesthetic but also delicious. Well I'm drooling right now :p!
Hands down, Food Town is indeed one of the best Ghatkopar has to offer. A restaurant that makes you love their food! Effortlessly, they managed to give us the experience we wished for. Thank you for being such amazing hosts, kudos...
Read moreTotal paradise for all the vegetarians out there. The food town is a big name when it comes to pure veg restaurant in Mumbai. Happened to visit there Ghatkopar outlet which is at a walkable distance from Vidyavihar Station. Talking about the ambience it's simply too good. Every corner has its own vibe. They have this huge dining space and with all the vibrant color theme and lights the place looks fab. Coming to the f&b in drinks we tried bali beach mocktail which was mix of Blueberry, pineapple and peach having that perfect tropical flavor to it. Also had blueberry cheesecake Milkshake which was their premium Milkshake offering. It was superb and we would totally recommend if y'all love blueberry cheesecake. For the appetizers we had Paneer hill top which was stuffed paneer kebab which had this smokey flavor and aroma to it. It was medium spicy and the paneer used was super soft. We also tried their Paneer chilli bao which was my personal favourite and I would strongly recommend if you are someone who loves Asian food. Moving towards main course we ordered Burmese khaosuey which in my opinion had the best portion size we have ever seen in any restaurant for khaosuey. It would easily suffice two people. The taste was perfect and the presentation was even better. Last up we had Tandoori momos sizzler which was this messy sizzler having all the scrumptious asian food elements to it. 4 pieces of tandoor momos alongside sauteed veggies , fried rice and fries and oriental sauce was total feast. In desserts we had Ferrero Rocher Freakshake which was humongous. It was super thick and totally gram worthy. Whatta incredible presentation and taste. Would totally recommend this one. The staff here is too good and prompt in their service. The food preparation time is also less than 10-15mins. Would be visiting...
