The Soul Food Co — Restaurant in Mumbai

While browsing through restaurants on a food portal for my dinner, I came across this place the soul food company which seem to have pretty good offerings. After going through some reviews I decided to give this delivery kitchen a try. I loved the food suggestions they helped me with and also the timely delivery.

From the veg section, I called for afghani mushroom tikka which had about 6 pieces of big mushrooms very well marinated in afgani style and grilled to perfection. Although I had it after about 1.5hrs it was still yum. From the non veg, I could try more items like chicken seekh kebab which were 2 big seekh nicely done and served with salad by its side.

Mains were my Favorite here. After a long time I came across a delivery outlet such delicious and flavourful food. Chicken Makhni box which had a portion of butter chicken served along with a choice of rice and paratha tasted amazingly delicious with the paratha.

I took my chances by ordering for a dish I wasn't sure if will be served well here which was soul speical grilled chicken steak with veggies and sometime the risk is indeed a good thing to do. To my surprise this dish was the best I tried from this dinner meal. The chicken steak were so well marinated and grilled which tasted all the more better with mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies by its side. Absolutely loved it!

Newly opened delivery outlet in Khar; the name caught my attention and decided to order some food for my Soul!

The menu is a mix bag of offerings from Fries to Pizzas to Chinese to North Indian dishes to a limited healthy option as well.

Ordered the below listed items :

Chicken Lahori Tikka : 6 pieces of chicken tikka marinated in green spices and served along with salads, tikkas were well marinated and flavorful.

Chicken Makhani Meal box : Just like the name says, a compact meal for 1 person; came with 2 Kerala styled parathas with thick makhani gravy and raita all neatly packed in a plastic tray along with 2 pieces of gulab jamun. – A decent & complete meal!

Soul Special Grilled Chicken Breast with Sautéed Veggies : A personal favorite as I love power meals and this was an ideal one. Sliced Chicken breast slices (2 pieces) neatly placed on a bed of sautéed veggies & mashed potatoes and topped with chili flakes for mild flavors. An apt meal for any fitness enthusiast!

Overall The Soul Food Co is a value for money outlet and you can count on the food being up to the mark based on the above order I called for!

The Soul Food Co is mainly a delivery kitchen located in Khar that serves North Indian, Mughlai & Fast food dishes.

Ordered home delivery which came in 25-30 mins. Neatly packed, customised labels & foil wraps made sure my food was delivered hot.

My Veg Order was as follows :- Aloo Tikka Mushroom Cheese Roll Malabar Paratha Paneer Schezwan Gravy Burnt Garlic Rice Mint Chutney, Soy & Chilli Sauce sachets

Aloo Tikka seemed overcooked but it turned out perfect with no burnt after taste which was a pleasant surprise

Mushroom Cheese Roll was mild in flavour & could do with a sauce/ dressing which would give it that zing.

Paneer Schezwan was delicious but slightly oily which is usually the case with most Chinese mains as they use a lot of oil & masala to make it tasty.

Burnt Garlic Rice was well cooked & blended beautifully with paneer schezwan gravy.

Overall The Soul Food Co offered Great Customised Packaging, Good Quality, Decent Quantity & Tasty food that made my dinner worthwhile.
