When you put heart into the food you prepare even the simplest of ingredients seems like magic potions. Here is one such man who has been spreading love since 1984 from a roadside curb of Aarey. Situated in the silent bylanes of Ghatkopar this place was easy to find thanks to Google maps.
When I walked in my first instinct was to ask for a menu and he very smirkingly said beta pichle 30 saal se menu nahi banaya hai sab ko pata hai uncle k idar kya milta hai. It was 6pm and I was hungry for my evening filling but then I was kinda met with a little disappointment. When I reached his samosas were over ! 😅 An eatery joint in Mumbai affords to say we are done for the day at 6pm 😰
But when the conversations went deeper is when I understood this man has found his optimal living. He starts off at 9am and by 6pm his items are sold out! And he does this all alone. Keeping health as first priority he does this with utmost passion which keeps bringing his loyalists again and again.
In the absence of Samosas he whipped out a Lays Pav for me. This has been a never ever tried combination for me but then I was blown away. I first believed it was delicious because I was hungry😆 but then when I started deciphering the taste layers the magic was in the 3 chutneys which he makes by himself with a tinge of love sprinkled on top of every food item which was served across the counter. The genuinity of the person oozed in his words and I believe transformed in his food.
The fun fact remains though he is known for his samosas but they are sourced from the very famous Gurukripa. But then still upwards of 400+ people come to his stall to have the samosa he feeds. The magic potion is the chutney guys! 🤫
Will definitely recommend everyone to go feast on some delicious food and meet this vibrant man. But whatever that is the thumb rule being 6 baje se pehle...

Nothing has changed..the vibe, the richness, and most importantly, the taste is still exactly how I remembered it. Tried the Chilly Cheese Lays Sandwich, Chocolate Sandwich, and their classic Masala Toast – each one was just perfect. Crispy, flavorful, and full of that old-school charm. If you haven’t been in a while, it’s definitely worth a visit. Some places just never lose...
