Lavender Bough — Hotel in Mumbai

This is a nice place to eat and has banquet facilities too. The exterior is eye catching and soothing too. The decor inside is contemporary.The approach road is big enough and the locality is less crowded with trees planted on the feeder road as also within the compound. The frontal road is less proned to traffic jams although traffic density is high. The place has a cooling effect and is peaceful enough. Off the Garodiyanagar area of Ghatkopar East , it provides a good ambience and accessibility. One can notice it prominently whilst driving from the road. A few garage and sheds are nearby which do not gel in the aesthetics of this place. However this is a boon in disguise as there are no adjacent high rises and free passage of natural air is possible. The place is on the route of a few BEST buses which go to Ghatkopar Depot at one end and towards the Chembur highway crossing on the other side. In the vicinity , there are many ATMs and Banks and a few commercial buildings too. A small walk leads one too Vikrant Circle where some more good restaurants, stores, boutiques are situated. This Hotel is on 90 ft road in Garodiya Nagar.. The reason why I specifically mentioned the location is because it is a bit off the main road and hence Google Maps fails to point other applications such as Zomato and Swiggy to this hotel entrance. The Hotel has a good entrance, lobby, parking lot and staff. The problem is with the maintenance. Lift is not very clean, certain floors are dirty with tobacco spat on service floors. Most rooms have balcony doors; which to your surprise may turn out to be common service doorways from where the room service staff enter after the door is unlocked from inside the room. Room Service is good, rooms are cozy (but tiny), solar water, good bathrooms. We stayed here for 3 nights and the sleep quality was good. Calm rooms with pretty good soundproofing (possibility that the hotel had less occupancy when we stayed here).

Else we found the hotel to be good enough for a small family per room. But prices are high considering the location; not as per the...

The hotel was somewhat decent. The rooms are big. The towels were dirty. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken. We asked them to fix it and all they did was turn it upside down.

We booked our rooms at the hotel through the OYO app. It's much cheaper on there. The app didn't accept foreign cards and when we tried to pay at the hotel our foreign card didn't work there either. We booked this right in front of the hotel staff and they could've said something beforehand. They told us to go to a bank and withdraw cash. But the fees to do so for foreigners is ridiculous. Then magically the next day they were able to accept our card for payment.

The staff was slightly aggressive with our luggage. We didn't want them taking it to our room. We just wanted to take it ourselves and they tried to grab it out of our hands.

Don't bother with the breakfast. Limited options and tastes bad. You're better off going to the McDonald's which isn't too far...
