Vividh is the new kid on the block around Kandivali East which has taken all by surprise. It’s a Multi cuisine restaurant which has a choice for all age groups and all taste buds. Be it Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Indian they have it all on the menu. The ambience is brilliant and the interiors are well done. Even the outdoor cafe feel is quite chic. There are 2 sections here and both were super packed when we visited them on a Friday night. Keep reservations done on weekends here. Rest of the week is smoother. The service is fast and attentive. A typical Gujarati and Marwadi guest list as the area is dominated by them so a bit noisy but lively and fun vibe. Birthday celebrations are big here we felt as there were 3 to 4 families celebrating here. The food we tried is as follows
Mocktails ———————- Pink Cream. - was a mix of 4 flavours but mainly tasted like a strawberry milkshake. Virgin mojito kiwi - A bit too sweet and just a green colour which didn’t really have any kiwi flavour. Kokum margarita - This was excellent. Quite refreshing. In fact the best Mocktail here. Must have. Loved the salted rim on the glass and the masala punch in the Mocktail. Martini Pomegranate Basil - This was the second best of all. A decent option.
Appetisers ————————— Thukpa Soup - excellent and ideal for the cool weather days. Quite liked the flavour of the spices. The only let down was the pieces of star anise which came along in a few sips. I wish they were filtered out before being served.
Singaporean Laksa Soup- Absolute must have here. Simply a smooth creamy texture of the soup with a coconut cream and lime flavour. Nice broth for sure.
Mezze platter - Definitely not the best I have had. Not bad but definitely not too good. The hummus was a bit dry and thicker and the drizzle of olive oil was missing. The baba Ghanoush didn’t taste too right and the cous cous was too chilled and bland. Falafel was fine.
Kamalkakdi Plum Sauce- Quite a good dish. Perfect seasoning and balance of sweet sour n spicy in flavours was felt. Good dish.
Broccoli Peanut Dimsums- These were more like momos than Dimsums actually but not bad for sure. We liked the stuffing as it was ideal for the Indian palate.
Tandoori Smoked Paneer Noorjahani - The marinade of the paneer was a green masala with mint and coriander with a nice smokey flavour but somehow the dish went for a toss due to the quality of the paneer. A bit too chewy and dry. Could have been better for sure.
Amritsari Chole. Average. Can be avoided as no major flavour.
Dabba Veg- Quite nice. A mix of finely chopped vegetables and paneer in a mildly spiced yellow gravy. No overpowering flavours but yet quite creamy and delicious.
Kulcha, Dabeli paratha & Roti. Assorted Indian breads. Especially liked the dabeli paratha which was quite a novelty.
Dal Khichdi- A runny consistency compared to most dal khichadis I have had but I quite liked it.
Desserts ———————- Baked Rabdi Jamun- The baked factor was surely missing here. Was rabdi with pieces of gulab jamun heated in a microwave. Was good but a bit too sweet.
Rasmalai Lasagna- Luscious and perfect dessert. Layers of rasmalai stuffed with freshly chopped grapes in the center and placed on a bed of a bluish green coloured rabdi. Was put off by the use of colour here but somehow it tasted quite delectable. A must try here.
Overall a good meal. I would definitely like to see a little improvement and then I’m sure they will be the best around this vicinity. A fine dine of this class of what This Suburb has always needed. A little fine tuning needed to get the perfection and then we r good to go. I’m surely visiting again. Prices on a little steep side so would prefer it for...
Read moreVividh NX is an outstanding dining location to meet the modern needs of the customers. We were surprised to see how beautiful the restaurant is. A great space for parking and outdoor seating. The indoor is divided into further two spaces for family and the other which serves a live bar counter. The personal seating arena was elegant to be precise. The lamps, lights, settings, flowers everything was up notch. The other arena was decent which provide spaces for families and big groups. We were there when it just opened and to our surprise, the place was already crowded. Keeping its level up, the place has a very filtered crowd and a very cooperative management.
We started with the appetisers with Soya Kheema Dimsum, which were dumplings stuffed with a mixture of soya kheema and steamed. They served it in a jute basket which was very presentable. However, the taste wasn’t something actually exciting. It could’ve been better with good flavours.
Then we had the Khakra with Gun Powder Hummus. This is a very unique dish wherein the Gujarati Khakhra is served with Lebanese hummus spiked with gun powder (spice). But to our disappointment again, the khakhras were tasteless. The hummus has no particular taste to add on any flavour to the khakhra.
From the mock tails menu, we had the Kokam margarita, which was inclusive of jeera powder, lime juice, sprite and some joking syrup. It was edged with salt which gave a tasty feeling at every sip. The Blue driver had a lemonade with a blue syrup and tasted like a lagoon, which is great. Lastly, the Kiwi mint martini was very creatively presented in a unique glass. The texture of the drink had pulp of the kiwi and was thick to sip on!
We further had the Paneer steak, where the paneer steak was marinated in the spicy harissa sauce, grilled and served with creamy tomato rice and veggies. It looked super tempting. But, it was something our taste bud didn’t accept quite well.
Meegorang noodles were next and certainly the best on our list. It’s a Jain dish where the noodles are cooked in sambal with the veggies simply. It tasted so unique that it didn’t last long in our plates. This was a great dish.
Rose cheese cake is a beautiful dessert they serve. Such a mouth watering presentation. The rose petals and syrup infused cold cheesecake was pink and served on a tray with a choice of jelly, chocolate and white cream dips. It was pretty tasty. So well set that the taste could be felt all over the mouth.
Edible candle, was a candle structure made with white chocolate and filled with orange flavoured mousse. The presentation of this dessert was the best among all. A cashew is placed on top which acts as the source of light to the candle when lit. Red velvet crumbs were spread with chocolate pebbles on the tray. Tastewise, the candle must contain more of tasty elements. But, a supper unique dish one must try!
Our overall experience at Vividh was great. We discovered that this place is loved by vegetarians and is a great spot to plan a dining. However, some items from the menu need special attention and we hope to return soon and have an even...
Read moreI was once a very regular and frequent customer of them via both dining and direct food delivery from them . I ordered a Lasooni Paneer Sabzi from them online by calling the restaurant directly as they offer delivery service In nearby areas . It was pathetic and tasteless The paneer was too hard to be eaten There was no salt in the sabzi It felt like it was made 2-3 earlier not at all fresh After having 2-3 spoons of it we immediately called the restaurant as we didn’t find it fresh ,good and upto price bcoz it costed us 520 rupees . They started defending themselves so we asked them to take sabzi back ask we had only 5-7% . We almost gave 90% sabzi back in the hope they will resolve this problem . We waited patiently for an hour but there was no response from there side , when we contacted them back they were too rude with us neither they replaced it with a new one and nor they refunded us . They have been reviewed 4.2 stars but in real they don’t even deserve a single start . Customer experience is pathetic. Leave the refund and replacement they were too arrogant even though we were too calm with them they didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience they caused. There are some manners to treat the customers , we’re paying and having the food not getting it for free . Now they took the money also and the sabzi Also . And we have to stay hungry since it’s 3pm I not at all recommend this restaurant to anyone as it’s only waste of money . They think they are running a 7 star hotel but reality is that their food is not worth a single star . They are thief and are soon going to be beggars with this attitude. They took my hard earned money and spoiled my mood to . Don’t order or book table from this restaurant directly or via...
