Dinner Experience @ Yoko Sizzlers was Average.
My Order :- Sizzlers Yoko Special Veg Sizzler - ( Rice, Babycorn, cutlet, broccoli, mushroom, cheese & paneer ) . Nice mix of veggies but the Babycorn & spinach was dry & bland compared to the other veggies in the sizzler platter .
Veg Paneer Satellite - Babycorn, Mushroom, paneer & cutlet. Tasty 😋
Chicken Sauce & Mushroom Sizzler - Hardly any chicken pcs. Was ok .
Drinks Water melon Juice - Rs 150/- Less sugar & no ice. Fresh & refreshing Orange juice - Rs 150/- No sugar & ice. Decent. Lemon ice tea - Rs 150/- Found it too sweet this time. I recommend milkshakes, cold coffee & fresh juice options instead of ice tea or soda drink here.
Details :- My first visit to the Oshiwara branch. ( I’ve always eaten @ Santacruz outlet ) Few Things recently updated @ Yoko Sizzlers ( Within 3-6 months ) New Menu options but same decor Drink options have increased but Veg sizzler options remain the same Prices have increased a lot but food quantity served is the same which is a shame. No increase in cheese, veggies, rice or noodles to justify it. Valet Parking available now. Tx god Pricing has almost doubled but the decor is same. Quite a let down 👎 Food Serve time is decent & food is piping hot which is the USP tbh. Staff is polite but they need constant call outs for water, plates & order. They need to be more attentive towards their customers.
Small Observation about these 2 outlets Compared to Santacruz branch the Oshiwara branch has better decor. Table seating @ Oshiwara is more round, spread out & feels more spacious compared to santacruz outlet which is rectangle shaped, less spacious & less moving space between tables. Personally I feel the overall ambience & buzz in the santacruz branch is better than Oshiwara. It’s more lively. Place is buzzing & gets crowded post 8:30 pm on weekdays & weekends so try & come early to avoid waiting & delays. The sizzler preparation smell from the kitchen spreads across the restaurant & makes you hungry instantly 😋 A New Menu & more drink options but same old decor, food quality & food quantity don’t justify the steep price increase Yoko is charging its customers since the past ( 3-6 months ) I understand prices of veggies going up & therefore rates are high but almost (50-70% higher rates ). there is no increase in quantity or renovation work done in santacruz or Oshiwara . What are we customers paying this hefty increase for ? In terms of pricing Rs 500- 600 for Veg Sizzlers is fair enough not Rs 750/- plus taxes. That’s too much . Juices / Ice Tea should be around 100-120 max not 150 plus /- Prices are a touch too high in my opinion.
Overall Food Experience was good but high prices do pinch you knowing what you used to pay earlier & frankly no upgrades are made to the place or food that justify these...
Read moreThought of giving a try to this restaurant, but sadly it has been one of the worst restaurant experiences for us till date. The guard who greeted us at the entrance and the waiters who escorted us towards the table were the only people who seemed to have basic hospitality. The waiter who took our order and served us appeared incompetent. He just kept the dish without placing the food plates beforehand. We had to ask him for the plates, which he then placed abruptly. Just like other fellow reviewers have pointed out here, yes, they don't serve the food in the individual plates. The food was not fresh and seemed reheated. Ordered veg but could smell traces of chicken egg cooked with it. Separate cooking utensils for veg and non veg is something basic expected from a dedicated chain of restaurants. Regarding ambience, constant smell of oil paint was evident, lights were constantly flickering, overall ventilation was poor. I understand that you want some unique aesthetics for your restauratn to stand out, but why have bulky heavy chairs which are hard to move? Those chairs are indeed uncomfortable not only for the people who sit on it, but also for others to pass by through the aisle. Instead of placing the crossword sheets on the table, you need to ponder upon placing the tissue napkins in a hygenic manner. I pity the manager and other waiters who had no smile left on their faces, as they had to pander to some pompous customers who would replace the orders for petty reasons time and again, ignoring other genuine customers' basic requests. The restaurant needs a serious overhaul in...
Read moreI have visited there on this Tuesday and my kid was sleeping so has to carry her the waiter didn’t even brother to help me to move the table aside I had to manage by myself the restaurant was almost empty accept two old ladies sitting in the corner. I was confused with the food so asked he suggested chicken shashlik where he explained what I will get in the dish within few minutes the food was served and everything was just sautéed all in the sauce whereas generally everything is in the dish but not completely dipped in sauce it’s we who decided whether we want to mix or no the noodles were just boiled, the veggies were few and not properly steamed the fries seemed as kept for long and was completely soggy the chicken was hardly found it was black uncooked and weird in taste I asked the waiter he just ignored my concern and got the bill for such not so worthy food at all I paid almost 1000 and the waiter on top of that shamelessly asked if I want to add any tip along with the bill amount I refused as I wasn’t happy with anything at all and left again the waiter or anyone amongst the staff didn’t bother to help and being rude in such scenario I didn’t finished my food and asked for takeaway as I could give it to someone who needed it and left the place with the of why didn’t I went to a cafe and had some good and tasty food instead such a disappointment I would never go to such place or suggest anyone known and will request you too don’t waste your hard earned money with such pathetic service and food instead go to some good and well known cafe...
