Located near Panchavati, Nashik, Shree Ambika Restaurant seemed to be pretty famous in the locality for serving nashik style misal pav. We headed to the restaurant early 8 to 9 o'clock in the morning, still there was rush and waiting time for around half an hour which was worth the misal we had that morning at the restaurant. The restaurant wasn’t really called fancy it was a small place where you have to share tables with other customers as per the seat is available, there no private space in the restaurant. If your table accommodates 4 and you are 3, you will be served with an another person joining you at the table. The service is super fast as soon as you sit on the table, you are asked for the spice level for misal and within 5 minutes you are served misal straight from a large boiling pot at the entrance of the restaurant. . . . You are served a bowl of misal, a plate with 2 pavs, a small bowl of dahi and a plate of rice papad. The misal was not usual matki misal, it consisted of white watana and more pulses in it with farsan, onion and a slice of lemon over it. You are being served tarri ( the misal gravy) right at the table before you start to eat to eat misal. The flavor is very much different than what is usually served in the restaurants in mumbai. They have their different level of flavors which was really exquisite. The papad was light and fluffy, crisp as per standards. Spice level of the misal was quite good, it wasn’t the spiciest nor the coolest ever had till date. The bowl of dahi was refreshing to eat after every bite which also helped cool down the spiciness of the misal. . . . If you are looking for a great misal breakfast in Panchavati, Nashik, Shree Ambika Restaurant is a must to visit. Highly recommended by @TheFoodGlutton

This year in 2023, I Visited Shree Ambika Misal in Panchavati after 2011! Thats 12 years!! The location has changed a little bit as the building has been redeveloped. However the taste remains the same. Ambika Misal is very different from your normal Misal. It is made of Kala (Black) Masala and is very good for cough and cold! It is not spicy but makes you sweat from each pore in your body. Not to mention it is delicious in taste! The misal in Nashik comes with Dahi and Papad as usual. Moreover it is very affordable at 80₹ and works as a full meal also!! I cannot stress the deliciousness of this Misal. One has to but go and try it for themselves!! 110% recommended!!

This place helps me to relive my childhood memories! Way back in 2005 when I was a kid, our family used to visit Nashik during Summer vacations every year. This was the place of my breakfast every single day back then. Now 2021, due to WFH I got a chance to revisit this place and treat myself with this best Misal Pav once again! Still tastes the same even after 15 years. I have tasted Misal almost everywhere in Mumbai, but this one is something different I must say. Definitely recommend to visit this place and try this, the price is nominal around 70 with which they serve Papad, Dahi and Onion. Staff is good but the waiting may be more during rush hours.

Nice nashik style kala (black) masala misal pav, very crowded place, sometimes you have to wait, we visited at breakfast timings and we have to wait for 10 minutes, but service was very quick as they don’t have any other menu than misal pav 😀 my personal opinion on food : Not too spicy, even kids can enjoy eat, taste wise it was ok ok not any wow factor, but you can give a try they serve curd and papad with misal pav misal rassa is unlimited rest all is limited and charged extra

It is look like very spicy but not ,Good test but seating (small) and parking arrangement is not good . One of the oldest misal in nasik with different test... If you really love misal then I sujjest you must visit this restaurant.. Staff is very supportive and polite .. Good breakfast choice for everyone ..And to my knowledge, there is only one misal restrarunt in nashik that is open at night..❤️

This place is one of the oldest Misal. The taste is absolutely fine. Those who love spicy misal 🔥, definitely go for it. The thing which takes the one star down is the small ambience, so you have to wait and also have to share tables with others. Service is okay but when there are a lot of customers you may not get good service. After all the taste will cover the flaws.
