Located near Panchavati, Nashik, Shree Ambika Restaurant seemed to be pretty famous in the locality for serving nashik style misal pav. We headed to the restaurant early 8 to 9 o'clock in the morning, still there was rush and waiting time for around half an hour which was worth the misal we had that morning at the restaurant. The restaurant wasn’t really called fancy it was a small place where you have to share tables with other customers as per the seat is available, there no private space in the restaurant. If your table accommodates 4 and you are 3, you will be served with an another person joining you at the table. The service is super fast as soon as you sit on the table, you are asked for the spice level for misal and within 5 minutes you are served misal straight from a large boiling pot at the entrance of the restaurant. . . . You are served a bowl of misal, a plate with 2 pavs, a small bowl of dahi and a plate of rice papad. The misal was not usual matki misal, it consisted of white watana and more pulses in it with farsan, onion and a slice of lemon over it. You are being served tarri ( the misal gravy) right at the table before you start to eat to eat misal. The flavor is very much different than what is usually served in the restaurants in mumbai. They have their different level of flavors which was really exquisite. The papad was light and fluffy, crisp as per standards. Spice level of the misal was quite good, it wasn’t the spiciest nor the coolest ever had till date. The bowl of dahi was refreshing to eat after every bite which also helped cool down the spiciness of the misal. . . . If you are looking for a great misal breakfast in Panchavati, Nashik, Shree Ambika Restaurant is a must to visit. Highly recommended by...
Read moreMr. Kailas Kukkar and their staff Worst experience at Shree Ambika Misal. They served me a completely burnt and disgusting misal yesterday. They could have simply told us that the misal was over, instead of serving us burnt and unfresh misal. After just one bite I told their staff, but instead of accepting their mistake they got defensive and rude. very arrogant
One worker even tasted it at the counter and made a face like he wanted to spit it out, that’s how bad it was. Still, they refused to admit it. The owner then started doing drama by pretending to serve the same misal to himself, and one of their staff said "bagh seth pan aata khanaar aahe hi misal" but the Seth never actually ate it. Clearly acting.
To top it all, they shamelessly charged me the full amount, including pav I never even touched. and the misal which i just took 1 bite and gave up on it What kind of customer service is this?
This place is running only on old name and hype. The quality is pathetic, staff is arrogant, and the owner (Kailas Kukkar) is just pretending instead of fixing his food. i went with high expectations but the experience was extremely disappointing.
“If you still want to visit, then go before 1 PM — after that they just serve the same burnt misal kept on the gas, with zero freshness and zero shame.”
Ambika Misal = Overrated, unhygienic, and disrespectful to customers....
Read moreService at Ambika Misal is very unprofessional, rude and unpolite. Staff behaves in a very unwarranted fashion. You have to wait atleast 50 mins to get a table to sit. Then the order will take another 30 mins to reach on your desk. There is no customisation allowed. You Will not get extra shev, or extra curry as per your wish. You have to eat what they provide.
Rude and impolite owner and rude staff. Especially if you are travelling from Pune, Thane, and Mumbai expecting some special privileges in mind, you are advised to refrain from visiting this place. They do not value your time, and from where you are travelling to visit this Misal. The place is unhygienic, and service staff is very rude. Ambience is poor, people stand in queue as if they are waiting to get a bed in covid hospital.
Moreover the misal, is like just any another commom misal, food bloggers have just made a hype. Nothing special in this Misal. Not worth wasting time.
One Senior Staff Suresh will allow his customers to get inside the hotel first. No matter how long you are waiting in queue. No token system, no queue management. A worthless waste of...
